I stopped looking forward to games when D3 and The Old Republic decided to crush my hopes and dreams.

The Last of Us if it were to come out on PC. The new Tomb Raider, Metro:Last Light and the Last Assassins Creed. That's pretty much it.

I was to busy scrolling quickly past the... distractions.

Crysis 3, for those using 2 GB VRAM GPU, get ready...coz I think highest settings will use more than 2 GB of VRAM.

Lots of PC goodness on the grill. New and old cooks cooking up savory independence, with less saturated corporate influence and seasoned with all-natural creativity. Even some innovation from the big boys too...

Borderlands 2... and that's about it for 2012. 

I figure if I expect every new game to suck, I will be pleasantly surprised by maybe 1 or 2 games this year.  I am done getting my hopes up.

Not many people seem to notice this part of the OP.

I don't know what's sadder, that no one is into games other then what's already been out or that the only games we have are all established franchises with nothing if at all anything to offer that's new
 
ZombieU looks like a interesting game. I was hoping to hear something about the new Marvel MMO that's suppose to come out

Despite it being 99% complete, Blizzard has said that that they will only release one title this year and it will be HotS or that Mists of Pandera expansion for WoW. Since they're money grubbing jerks now i'm sure they'll go with the WoW expansion.... while continuing to screw up D3 even more i'm sure.

I'm willing to wait and I don't mind that they take even longer than that as long as they don't mess it up. I'm not into the Diablo series but Grim Dawn looked really cool from what I've seen

Didn't they use to make sports games??

I think they were best known for the Tony Hawk skate games... which were good at first, on PS1, but like everything else they touch they ended up running it into the ground.

Not really, they published a lot of the Mechwarrior titles, Quake titles, and games based on movies (Toy Story for example). Oh and of course the Tony Hawk games. It was mostly EA and 2K that did sports games up until EA tried to monopolize them all (succeeded with Madden NFL).

I dunno, cause the only blizz game I play is starcraft, but that game seems to be pretty polished.  Even when it was first released.  
 
There have been many changes to balancce etc, but I think thats mostly due to the way the meta-game constantly evolves as players find new ways to play.
 
I'm pretty happy with that product from a polish/completness standpoint.

Yeah StarCraft II was actually a very well done game, really it was a good game from the day that it was released. Here's hoping that they can pull Diablo 3 out of the muck and turn it around here in the very near future. Keeping my fingers crossed.
