I entered my steam and my BF3 name into the form provided and got the confirmation email as well. When the date comes, do we just play on the EVGA servers? Like is it you play on it once and your entry is in? (btw I always play on evga servers I don't just go on once )

As long as you sign up and play you are entered to win. I just signed up as well. I didn't even realize the sign ups started until I saw your post. I didn't get an email like I normally do. This will be fun!!!

EGC events usually show up with a delay on the main evga page. But strange indeed that I didn't get an email about it either.

All you have to do is (signup) play on one of the event servers once the event starts on July 16^th at 4PM Pacific and before it ends on July 31^st, 11:59 PM PST. It doesn't matter how long you play or how many kills you get.

Any amount of time on any of the servers is all you need.  More play time will not guarantee you any greater chance of winning.  That all depends on the number of entries.

I kind of liked the tiers but that can be saved for a non anniversary gaming event...right? lol oh killjoy what is your battlefield 3 name so i know when you are on. Plus it never hurts to hop in the evga bf3 teamspeak. Lots of interesting and hilarious things get discussed ;)

The contest ends on my birthday, maybe i will get some Birthday luck!

The TF2 servers will gain some attention but unfortunately, once the event is over they will be a ghost town again. We are at a loss right now as to how to fill them and keep then filled without an event going on.

I played both CS:GO and L4D2 and in both my steamid is STEAM_1:1:xxxxx, but my steamid in older valve games and on web based steamid finders is STEAM_0:1:xxxxx. The one I entered with to the contest is STEAM_0:1, is this OK? Will it count? Or should I change it to STEAM_1:1

TF2 is free.  Download it and play in one of the servers listed.
 
As a side note... if you like MW3, you need to try Blacklight:Retribution (f2p also).

Team Fortress 2 is free on steam, that game can be loads of fun if you give it a chance.  Not too many people like playing on unranked MW3 servers, that is why evga didn't bother to support it. I would blame publisher for not allowing you to gain rank on dedicated servers.
 
 

Here is how it goes for me. Sign up, play in server with guys, rage quit because I get absolutely zero hit detection. I literally shot directly on someone with 870 slugs 6 times and not a single one registered. Quit after that. That's how it goes for most people. They get their time in and they go to servers that work.
