Twelve thousand, five hundred and fifty something Friday, June 29, 2012 2:26 PM (permalink)
Herein is set forth my cliche milestone thread, not that I forgot rather the posts I was making at the time didn't fit.  Since I don't like to spam, the following is a genuine topic of conversation:

Our local Vons grocery has been doing this advertising deal where they send out coupons and mailings literally on the day stuff expires, such that when you get there, they bank on the idea you don't want to leave empty handed and pay full price.  I don't do that, but it is a weird practice.  I'm sure others get mailings earlier, but still coincedentally strange.

Like the other day, I wanted a few bottles of V8 Fusion fruit smoothies, the ad said $1.50 off, but when I got there it was full price $4.79-- I left, went to Albertsons and it was regular price $4.99-- I scoffed and went to Target: $2.88 each.  I dn't think about it often but this stuff is more expensive than gas.  These are 36-oz bottles for $5, that's almost $18 per gallon.

Shall I presume this madness goes on where you're'll at?

How CPU watts relate to degrees? - How can overclocking affect CPU lifespan? - TEC/Peltier definitions, formulas and temperature estimations

For Intel processors, 0.123 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].  This includes around 30% overhead, so it isn't minimum for operation.  TDP is not actual per CPU, it is a range for multiple processors to qualify for the same OEM cooler and power rating, and allows Intel to debut future processors in the same TDP.

Have you been drinking more than V8 Fusion Lehpron?   But I must say I'm mighty impressed with the double contraction you've created... "you're'll"  You deserver a BR just for that!

And people say that the economy is back to normal again. No inflation whatsover of prices on the markets you go to. I haven't payed attention to the size of cereal or coffee, milk, etc so I can't really comment on that. I've read that people noticed a small price increase for the same or lower size of drinks, cereals, and food.

Agreed, we get ads here like that. Most often it's Giant eagle and the ads are a few days after it's all over!

How many gallons of gas at $3.50 did you burn running arround trying to save $1.88?

While I don't think I drink alot, maybe an entire 36-oz per two days, four servings per bottle; okay maybe I do.  But the one thing I want to buy "Pasta Roni Italian Herb and Olive Oil" is extremely hard to find, used to be at another Target like 6 miles away, but now its at another one 10 miles away.  Might as well get it on Amazon bulk.

Most of the stores are within one-quarter mile, so I walked actually, but walking everywhere sucks when you have a craving; if anything I burned away my time.  Sometimes I wish these store made maps so I don't have to walk everywhere just to find something.

I live in an area where there are five pharmacies in a one mile radius, where a Home Depot is doubling in size by taking the space left by a neighboring Ralphs grocery that shutdown, where we have a senior home next to a mortuary and a fire department.

I thankfully don't have that problem. We get the coupons on the weekend and they are good for the rest of the week.

                                Oh yeah... congratulations!

There should be a Lehpron Thread, where you just lay down your daily thoughts for the day. I haven't read a single one of your posts that didn't entertain me. Congratulations for your milestone.

I live in an area where there are five pharmacies in a one mile radius, where a Home Depot is doubling in size by taking the space left by a neighboring Ralphs grocery that shutdown, where we have a senior home next to a mortuary and a fire department.

Yup, you do not need car.
Where I live everything is gallon of gas away.
