580 3gb with 580 classified sli question

Can you run a standard 580 3gb with a 580 classified in sli?

Yes, but why would you do that? The Classified was designed for overclocking, to clocks higher than the standard card. I guess if you can't find another HC2. A regular SLI fitting won't work because the inlet/outlet lines do not line up. So you would have to use tubing.

A friend of mine has a 3gb hc2 and wants to go sli but it seems like there are many more 580 classified hc on here than the standard 3gb hc2. So even though he couldn't overclock the hc2 to reach the classified speed he would still get sli 580, thank you for the answer.
