I have installed 48 gb of 2x DDR 3 kingston 24GB (6 x 4GB) HyperX 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM.
Each 24 gb batch are installed in the appropriate slots [red] then [ black] for the other 24gb batch.
My question is in the bios.
There isn’t a choice for 1600 just 800, 1066, 1333. there is a 1600 choice in the MCH strap.
Not sure which to set for this ram set up.
The timings are 9-9-9-27 N1.
I can see how to set the timings 9-9-9-27 but not sure where to set the N1
The voltage is set to 1.65v.
The problem I’m having is the machine keeps blue screening or freezing or crashing out straight to reboot.
I’m trying to sort this out but can’t be sure about the bios ram setup and there doesn't seam to be any clear information on how to setup the bios on the sr2.
The machine is dual xeon x5650 48 gb ram Kingston chosen from the list of compatible memory. graphics is the evga sc 4gb 670 bios is the latest A56 version.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
