Seems like a 680 Signature + backplate 4GB model....  Anyone with any ideas on this one?
 
I wonder if this uses the same Vapor chamber cooler as the FTW but without the FTW clocks...

Interesting, that one doesn't have a "1 per household limitation".  However, I just noticed that its of the reference cooler design without the Vapor Chamber tech and 1/2in shorter.  
 
EDIT: Upon closer inspection, it looks like its just an SC Signature + with 4GB of VRAM.  Oh and the clocks are a bit lower like the FTW model, obviously because of the 4GB of memory instead of 2GB.
 

EVGA site has been slow for the past 20 mins...
 
Once I was able to load it back up again, these cards popped up...
 
I hope they are about to announce the classified tonight :)

And yeah I'm sure this site is getting hammered because of the mass availability of the 4GB FTW, and now this new 4GB model.  At least they were released tonight instead of along side the Classified {hopefully coming tomorrow} cause I'd have been really frustrated with the slow loading trying to order one of them....heh

Ahhhh this comes out right after I manage to get a 680 FTW+ model, my original intent was to get a waterblock on a 4gb 680 but the FTW wasn't a reference PCB, and now they release this!
 
I don't know if I should exchange it for this or hold out to see if they make a block for the 4gb FTW+

Its not a vapor chamber cooler, it is same as SC signature cards.
 
Yes it can be SLI'd with any GTX 680 4GB.

  Thank you for the response..  Does this rule still apply for the one 680 per household? I just bought one FTW GTX 680 4GB and it will not allow me to buy the GTX 680 4GB. Trying to SLI , don't feel like paying 800 for another one on amazon.

Im tempted to sell my 680 Superclocked 2gb SLI and buy a Pair of these 4gb ones. Obviously the FTW would be the better buy for 30 bucks more, but 1 cant find them anywhere, 2 Limit 1 per household and 3 these are in stock now.

Its basically a GTX 680 signature w/ backplate and 4GB of memory.
 
So yes, its just a regular PCB 4GB gtx 680 with a signature shroud cover and 5 phase pwn and 8 + 6 pin power.

Man, wish I knew this was going to exist. Would have probably gone with two of these rather than 3 670 FTW. Didn't want to pay Classy money for two water cooled 4GB cards so just went with cheapest full PCB card since I had no other 4GB options. Dang.

Google is your friend too.  PCB {printed circuit board} is basically what makes up the whole of the GPU.  It holds all the circuitry and the GPU chip sits on it, then the Vapor Chamber sits on top of the chip for cooling, all of which is housed underneath the most smexy EVGA shroud.    This particular GPU has the same PCB "as Jacob already said in post #7" as the one used in making the GTX 680 Signature series.

With some differences though ~ it doesn't have the vapor chamber cooling tech, and the base clocks are a little lower because it has 4GB of VRAM instead of 2GB.
 
And if you read the product page for the GTX 680 Waterblock, in bold text it says:

• Not compatible with EVGA GeForce GTX 680 FTW or Classified cards. 

And seeing as this GPU is not a FTW or Classified model and its been said multiple times that its the same PCB as the Signature series which is not one of those models, then yes one should assume that it fits this GPU.

Before acting all high and mighty, you should have reread and understand fully what I posted, because not once did I say it would fit.   I specifically said by assumption it probably would based on the information posted on the waterblock product page and by what Jacob said.

Years of forums luckily taught me that if someone skirts a simple yes/no answer with everything but a yes/no answer (especially when it ridicules ones knowledge in a subject with drivel such as "google it") then wait for someone who is a bit more confident in their ability to give an answer.

Yep, This standard 680 4gb #04G-P4-2686-KR won't work with a 680 2gb reference waterblock.

I agree that EVGA should have given more specifics, but you are essentially trolling the people asking these questions. It looks like the HC Classified is going to be our best bet to get 4gb versions of these watercooled.  Hopefully they release the HC blocks separately as well because they probably won't stock enough of the cards when they are released.  Any word on the release date and quantities Jacob?
