Half way done sleeving my cables, have a question though. Also some pics of my progress

So far ive done 2 PCI connections and my 24pin using paracord and heatshrink. Still have 2 more PCI and my CPU then i will be done. My question is the wires are kind of like all over the place now, mainly my 24pin. Is there any way to straighten them out? They look way better than they originally did but you can barely tell the design i put in them. This is my first time, so im kind of learning as i go. Thanks Havent tucked any wires away yet, since i just plugged it in to make sure the wires still all work (they do yay!) But heres some photos so far:

zip ties are good for that or you can use heatshrink cut into smaller pieces then place where you want and heat it up to help line them up

I don't have a pointers in the matter, because I've never done sleeving. But they look good.

Thanks guys, its definitely been one of the most aggravating things ive ever done to my computer, lol. Takes alot of patience, but it looks nice. Might get that sticky vinyl paper and make my power supply white.

uncle poop good job on the sleeving. i can not wait to get sleeved cables. just need to save up a little more money. i just don't have the skills to do it myself. It's really not too difficult, just time consuming and a bit frustrating. The first pin removal tool I bought broke halfway through the job and I had to get another. Once I learned the easiest way to get the cable free of connectors it was rather simple. Like others have posted elsewhere, I made a diagram of my 24 pin AND snapped a few pics to be safe. My method was to only "un-pin" the wires I was sleeving at that moment (unless they were cross-crossed with other wires), this kept things where they needed to be. Being my first sleeve job I had nightmares about wiring my 24 pin incorrectly. It was an unfounded fear and the end result was well worth it. I will definitely do it again. This time using a higher grade sleeving. Going to use para cord on my next project.

it's easier to sleeve a 24-pin extension if you have place to hide the actual 24-pin cable same goes for PCI-e and other cables except the fan wires. anyways, it looks nice, you just need to put the wires neatly organized and in place with zip ties, velcro straps and adhesive clamps perhaps.

What do you mean by "hide" the cable? I sleeved my wife's Corsair HX1050, SEMI-modular. The 24 pin, CPU and two (2) PCIe's were hardwired. It was a total pain and it barely fit together with all the extra sleeving I put in. I did two wire groups on the 24 and I had to use a hose clamp to smash it down enough to fit back in the housing. My next sleeve job will be on my personal OCZ 1250 fully modular. Should be much easier.

I mean that I wouldn't touch the actual PSU wires at all for RMA reasons, if anything goes bad with it during the warranty period, they will deny it (for unauthorized alteration to wiring). it's safer to use sleeved extensions for all wires you can and route original cabling e.g. behind the MB tray (if your case allows for it) or hide it somewhere under some plastic trim or something, so only the sleeved extensions are visible.

feniks woah, that's a little pricey case you are aiming at ... good luck with your next build Thank You. I know it looks rather pricey but, after getting that TJ07 powder coated, buying the radiator mount and doing a bunch of case mods to make everything fit, I was in for about 500 bucks for the case alone and allot of time. The LD case has all that out of the box AND a humongous amount of space for upgrades in the future. The TJ07 barely had enough space for a 4x120 rad, PSU, pump and wiring in the bottom. Literally no room above the rad to run anything so, it is maxed out. I didn't want to run into that for my next build and I really hated having to drill and cut the TJ but it was the only way. I suppose I would rather pay a bit more for less work and headaches in the future. Now, if I had access to some real equipment, CNC mill, laser cutting and a powder coating set up. I would just make my own case.

It is a great case but, I don't like it's LC options. There is no room for jack in it without removing all the HDD space and then it would only really accommodate a bay res/pump combo and a 3x120. And I like the acrylic cylinder style. Then there is that ugly door fan that blocks seeing most of the interior...

I was able to fit a RX240 rad and Dual Bay res+pump combo in intake area, but to add another rad I would need to hang it outside in the rear ... and I need to make holes for 3/4'' OD tubing for that purpose (future WC loop expansion in plans), because the Tt idea of water cooling is limited in this case to a 120mm rad and some cheesy thin tubing, even a 1/2'' OD barely fit the stock holes in the back of case ... ... besides I always wanted to to have a MB tray cutout for CPu backplates, some holes for routing wires ... and painted black inside

Sleeving is looking very good. Nice color combination. It's going to look great. Be sure to post some finished pics. How are you enjoying the sleeving? Fun huh? I am using that Para cord on my next build, looks awesome. How is it to work with?

I dont know if it too late, but I interleave some of my sleeved cables. Also for what its worth, I actually found it easier to clip new minifits on the ends so I only had the length of cable that I need. Some were lengthend, some were shortened.
