What are your system specs?[are they the ones in your mod rigs?] Also how much do you want to spend? GTX 480 is $209.99 on newegg right now until the 10th. A single 480 should allow you to play most of your games fine on 1080p. If you can spend more, I'd suggest a 670. $399.99, it will allow you to max out your games with AA as well. You can also find some used 500 series 580s or 570s for cheap too if you don't mind buying used.

I have upgraded i few things i think since then.. i have a 850w psu with 64 or so amps, amd 1055T, 6-8 gigs of ram etc. id rather be around 260ish and under. right now my bf3 runs pretty good but still get some fps issues... so i know a 450 wont do anything on a 23.6" monitor

What resolution is your current monitor? I think a GTX 480 sounds good, but if you can spend $260 you can get a newer card too.

Might I suggest getting a VE247H? For a video card, grab a HD 7970 or even a HD 7850. The 3GB of GDDR5 on a 384 bit bus helps with high res over nvidia cards.

The 3GB of GDDR5 on a 384 bit bus helps with high res over nvidia cards. the bus speed really doesn't matter since the 256-bit bus on the 680 cards is clocked really freaking high. It's not an issue. I'll give you that the amount might help in surround, but any single monitor solution is just fine with a 256-bit bus with 2gb of ddr5 at 3000+mhz

I think you can also step-up as well with them and they're only $209.99 us dollars. Should work fine on 1080p. Performance is the same as a 570 about. The vram is more and has a bigger memory bus too for cheaper. I have two and they run great.

I have to suggest the Radeon HD 7970 GHZ edition. Same performance as the GTX 680. The difference between a 7970 GHZ edition and a GTX 680 is about the same as the 'gap' between a HD 6970 and GTX 570..

The difference between a 7970 GHZ edition and a GTX 680 is about the same as the 'gap' between a HD 6970 and GTX 570.. The gap is pretty big in certain games, like BF3. The GHz edition is not the best bang for the buck on the AMD side. The best deal right now is their HD7950 if you don't play EA games. If you love games like BF3 and other EA titles, you will want to look into a GTX 670. Review: http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-7970-ghz-edition-review/21

See this inpai.cn review testing some fifty (50) Intel and AMD processors paired with a GTX590 (which is a tad bit faster than the GTX670/680 cards, for reference).
