Help with Precison-X for 670s

I have noticed that for some reason Precision-X has an issue switching between 2D and 3D fan profiles. For example I have the profile set at auto for desktop 2D and then when I go to play BF3 fans are at 85%. It will kick in to 85%, but once I am done gaming it does not go back to auto. I am using the latest WHQL drivers. Does anyone have a solution to this? I want the program to run properly as if the fans don't up for gaming it can cause crashing. Thanks

Mid 60s. Nothing too dramatic.
