Bad Fan GTX 480

I have two GTX 480's in sli. One is a sc+ and the other is a vanilla card. When I first get into windows and the cards go into auto fan mode, one of the cards starts a grinding noise in the fan . I am not sure which one it is yet, but I was wondering if it is something I should rma for now, or wait until it gets worse? Plus I really like my sli setup and don't know if Evga still has GTX 480's in stock for rma? Has anybody rma a GTX 480 lately and gotten back a 480 or has it been something different?

Unplug the power from one card at a time to ID which has the bad fan. if you hold the warranty then RMA it. Sounds like an easy fix for EVGA and if they can't they usually can replace or upgrade it. GL

Good morning, Give our support a call at 888.881.3842 to assist with starting a RMA. We do have a option to select SLI to try our best to get you back a 480. However if we don't send you back a 480, we will do our best to get your SLI back up and running. If you would like I can work with you directly on this can you can email me at josephc@evga.com. If you decide to email me please include the serial number of the card that is having the trouble.
