I never knew putting screens like this was possible, I think it's pretty amazing how it looks!

So essentially, they're now playing on what would be the shape of a single HDTV of about 37-42" ...lol

I gotta stick with a single display, the black spaces between monitors drive me nuts.  Course if one were to take them apart and place just the screens next to each other that'd be a different story, but very rarely you see that.

Sort of except the resolution is much higher and its at 120hz, doesnt have crappy input lag. TVs are great but they arent built for gaming. Pixels are too large, and picture isnt as sharp as a monitor of the same size. Using 3 smaller monitors makes the game much more detailed. Instead of expanding a 1080p image over a 40in screen he has a 1080p image on three separate screens. 3x the resolution.

I think it's different and it looks really great, although I bet for some games it would not work like League of Legends and other single monitor games but for Battlefield 3 it looks extremely well!  When I win the lottery I may put my screens like this

Nothing new. I used to do that configuration and 5x1P since late 2010.

Using 3 monitors doesn't make the game any more detailed. You retain the same ppi....... and you just get more field of view. The fidelity doesn't change at all, and in most cases, is worsened on the side screens.

This is something both NVIDIA Surround and AMD Eyefinity is capable of...not just Eyefinity.

What was the res of this set up? The black bars must have been a hassle while gaming though

Agreed with hoserx. It's all in DPI, 1080p is 1080p, no matter how many monitors... I mean yeah, it's larger. But I thought if you have 10x 1080p monitors, it'll be the same DPI as a single 80" HDTV that is 1080p, correct?

A 1080p tv has the same size of pixels, and same amount of pixels in every square inch... I thought?
