wow, alot of you guys are hitting 1200mhz out of the box...very nice!

              makes me kinda jealous :(

Actually the cards are designed to clock over boost clock speeds automatically in some circumstances.

I get 1280 mhz 60-63C with my asus top, I did have to tweak the fan curve for stability
Not a evga but its what I got

It will cost me 15 bucks to get my money back, is a fan curve worth gettin a refund over?

I just returned my asus card $16.00 shipping back to Amazon for a full refund.

Out of the box the card couldnt complete heaven bench consecutivaly, ((how do you spell that))

I raised the fan speed and gave it a more agressive curve, after that it could bench over and over, I thought it was all good until a little while ago :(

I let it run heaven on highest settings and I went to prometheus(Great Movie), 3 hours later when I just got back home, I had the driver error

Wrapped it up and sent it back, I got my 480 back from the third rma and so far it seems stable doing benches.

The asus was SUPER quiet at high fan speedz, It does however need a support bracket
                    I will keep my Evga 480 now<<<<

                    Asus 670 got 2690 on a 920 at 4ghz
                    Evga 480 got 1492 on a 920 at 4ghz

There are very large threads on the instability of the card out there, I could have given it minor tweaks to stabalize it but......

sorry but there is no way you only hit 60 C max at 1202 with fan on auto. this is not some special cooler and is nothing more but the reference 680 job on there.

Ya, looks like my profile from the 680 stuck, it has the curve enabled... even after upgrade to precision 3.0.2, I musta kept profiles... oops.  Still, it's ice cold 60C at 63% fan.

haha yeah, thats what I thought....VSYNC does force the card to run slower sometimes...so there you have it :)

and yes, 60c on auto profile sounds like an MSI Twin Frozr or something....I wish evga would go balls out one day and make an epic heatpipe/heatsink cooler...

Well, as it seems I am one of the few with a 670SC 2Gb left, or no one is talking about it, I'll just throw out there that stock I am at 1188mHz, and OC I got to 1350.

Thanks, luck of the draw I suppose.  Saw a lot of posts from people with issues with the 670SC and even generalizing about the entire 670 line.  Just wanted to show that some are fully functional.

1229 on my first card, 1189 on my second.  Which is funny, another user in this forum had the exact same clocks, is that pure chance or something to do with SLI?

the cards are all over the place....but thats just how it works....I almost pulled out my hair because one card ran 1189 and the other ran 1124, in SLI & both stock....not an EVGA brand though, but it still works like this with all GK104's

I bought a pair and popped in my 2nd card today, swapped it out to test solo.  The second card is topping out at 1189MHz... so quite a bit lower than my first card at 1229Mhz not that it will make maybe 1fps difference if even.

Neither card has exceeded 67C no matter what I toss at them and that is with the fan left on auto.

How many rpm does the fan need for 67°C?

Seem to be some common Mhz numbers coming up with these cards...

My 670FTW boosts to 1202MHz @ 61C (fan speed 3660RPM) with stock settings but voltage turned up. I can't get the GPU clock offset higher than 18MHz without it actually reducing the top boost speed to about 1080MHz with a lot of flapping....if I have it anywhere between 13-18MHz it sticks at a steady 1215MHz, seems that's the max my card can go GPU wise. The memory seems much more forgiving, have it at +600MHz without visual artifacts at the moment, not sure where the limit is exactly because I'm still messing with it. Temp increases a little to aroun 64-65C with these settings.

Yeah, my Gigabyte GTX 670 Winforce SLI is awesome.  Max Payne 3 maxed temps hit 62c top card and 59c bottom card with fans at 50%.  The "windforce" fans are whisper quiet!!  With Max Payne 3/Crysis Ultra going full bore, the sound coming from the Gigabyte's is barely a shade louder than just sitting surfing the internet.  I've been a gamer since the days of my 3dfx Voodoo 2 12mb SLI, and finally a setup where I can game in my office and and still hold a conversation with my wife next to me.  Thanks Gigabyte!!  Now EVGA, get off your collective a$$ and develop something similar; then I'll be back!!

My boost clocks are 1128; cards and system settings all bone stock with nothing overclocked (have found zero need to overclock).
