I installed a Velociraptor as the main drive connected to the SATA 3 port. The drive works well, no issues. But in the BIOS as it loads it says the Harddrive is unrecognized.
In BIOS I have always had the drives set to IDE enabled. I am now curious if I enable AHCI would I see any performance difference.
I know there is an issue with the registry and changing from one to the other.
Has anyone altered the registry with success and not have to do a clean install?
