Should I use the Marvell sata ports for a dvd drive or external hard drive? FTW3

I currently am using all 6 of the Intel sata II ports. I am planning on adding a bluray drive soon. I will then have two optical drives, 2 ssd sata II drives in Raid 0, 2 1 tb mechanincal drives in Raid 1, and the front port connector of the case to use with external sata drives.
So since I will have to use the Marvell ports for something what should I use with them? I am thinking I should use the case connector since I don't use that often. Then I can deactivate the marvell ports in the bios and only activate them when I need to use an external sata drive. That way the system boots a bit faster with the Marvell ports deactivated.
Does that make the most sense?
