FAH Client starts new CPU/SMP WU but when my 580's finish... Wednesday, April 18, 2012 12:10 AM (permalink)
They delete/start a new WU but never go under load.  It just sits until you stop all clients/start all clients even though it says running.

Any idea?

    Welcome to the team!
That sounds like the power saving feature bug in the latest nvidia drivers as described in here:

the solution is: set your monitor to never turn off in windows, and switch it off manually

but don´t use remote desktop. That screws up thae driver as well and causes the folding client to crash
Better would be something like log me in or teamviewr.
Or you could use a folding monitor like hfm.net and have it display on a web page

Yep, probably the CUDA power saver in the drivers.  I had the same problem, reverted back to drivers 285.62 to avoid that problem.

As Barb has mentioned, don't be using Windows remote desktop for GPU folding.  It won't work.  It works for CPU folding.
