A new project is out, Computing for Sustainable Water. All my rigs are dedicated for this new project.

Yep, I started doing some work for this new project on one of my Rigs yesterday.  WCG has yet to get it added in some of their screens, but it is there and ready to work.

Whoo-hah!  That new CFSW Project, bringing the total Projects (completed and active) to 21 dropped my "Run Time/project" stat back 9-days today.  I had just enough headroom in recently completing that Ruby level to sustain the hit without dropping back to Gold level.  A little bit of "Groundhog Day" going on there...

Thanks Horvat. I think I will give this project a try. Last time I ran WCG, I had my systems running Clean Water.

Crunching through some new projects right now.
I have some catching up to do, I haven't even earned a badge for Say No to Schistosoma yet.

Update, This new project uses a lot of memory for WCG. It almost maxes out 6 gigs of memory.

Update, This new project uses a lot of memory for WCG. It almost maxes out 6 gigs of memory.

Ran a little test on my SR-2 that is running 16 instances of CFSW.

Paused all work, nothing running to speak of and the memory in use via Windows Task Mgr (Performance tab) was 3.58GB.

Restarted all 16 instances of CFSW and memory usage jumped up to 7.58GB.  So that was a 4GB jump.

I guess I should have mentioned that is with 24 instances running at one time.

We used up all the CFSW tasks. Not one of my rigs has one on it and I have pages of "pending validation" but no "in progress".

                              I am seeing 3 issues:

                              1)  cfsw seems to be out right now?(see from page 2 midway)
                              http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,33000_offset,30#374147

                              2)  linux rigs are now being limited to 1 cfsw per machine, while they investigate a stuck wu issue:
                              http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,33012

                              3)  I had cfsw, hcmd 2, and hcc 1 set as projects, but am now getting seemingly random projects(some of all).  I do have the setting on to accept another projects if my choices are unavailable.

                                seems more projects were affected

Due to a backend process locking up the system again, we have several projects that are having troubles distributing work properly. We have cleared the issue, but it is going to take a few hours for some of the other processes to catch up in order to allow work to be sent out again steadily.

In addition, validation is significantly behind. This will also take a few hours to catch up.

Thank you for your patience while we work through this issue.

Anyone having the CFSW Inconclusive WUs slowly becoming Invalid? This started happening yesterday but all my other WUs from other projects are fine... maybe it's time to take a break on CFSW.

CFSW is back on track for me, so far(Murphy stay away):

                                       in progress:  21
                                       pending:  30
                                       inconclusive:  9
                                       invalid:  3
                                       valid:  >90 through 4/20~21

Was it on linux by any chance?  maybe related to stuck units issue?

Sorry, so far not a problem for me, but i'm running
                                       4 threads linux Mint12(64bit),
                                       2 OSX SL, and
                                       20 win7(home and pro 64bit, 3xc2Q, E1500, and 2630qm),
so I am more heavily windoze.
I am also using the 64bit boinc client(v6.12.34) from their site, not wcg's

for ref all my boxes have 8Gb ram(prepping for  CEP2 and DDT2)

Hopefully some data above gives you a lead for more stability.

P.S.  My linux Mint 12 rig is only running one cfsw, and 3 other projects.

I am very happy to see this issue fixed within the next day of it happening, and on a Saturday!

7 Inconclusive became Invalid now. I switched out of CFSW for now, or until I hear more about this issue. All my other projects are stable.

I'm running Windows but most likely it has to do with the issue that occurred yesterday/earlier today since all the Inconclusive/Invalid WUs are from 2/20 or 2/21.

You may not have enough memory. I just discovered that one of my servers that had only 6 gigs was throwing computational errors. The memory usage indicator showed that not all the memory was being utilized. However, I just installed 12 gigs of memory and the memory usage is indicating almost 8 gigs used, and no more errors.

A lot more of the Inconclusives are valid but a few more became Invalid. Only 3 more pages of Inconclusives left.

I have 8GB on my system and I set it to allow 90% usage but it never wants to use more than 60%. But if you're right, it doesn't want to take more memory unless I put in 16GB...

A possibilty. Especially since you have the setting for only 90% memory usage. I have mine set for 100% memory usage and it was not using 100%
NOTE to all: this new project is a memory hog.

Optimized version of this project out

World Community Grid is pleased to announce that we have optimized the performance of the Computing for Sustainable Water research application. Using the optimized version of the application, a work unit will run in a quarter of the time it took originally while maintaining the data integrity. Your computer will automatically download the optimized version the next time it is assigned a work unit from the Computing for Sustainable Water project.

                                                  Nice gains!

That's huge gains! 75% reduction in runtime is awesome!
Lets hope that this new optimized  version is as good as they hope.
