Here's a bit of a preview with the crappy phone cam.
Gonna have a good lot of photos when I use a real camera.

If you poke the top of the screen, does it wobble a lot? I mean, I expect some wobble, but it should settle rather quickly.

i've been pretty darn tempted by these.  I've been wanting to sell my current monitors for like 3 27" monitors and the price on these is just crazy.  Oncei 'm moved this next week i might just have to splurge and get me 3 finally as well as a monitor stand.  Do they have VESA mounts at all?

Looking for cheap web hosting?  PM me for more info.

Yup, they have mounts, but judging from some posts in this thread, we will have to do some work to gain access to it.  I'm waiting on the sale of a few of my cards and my bonus check, and I will be ordering 3 of these.  I still can't believe that these are 400 bucks and the others are ~900 bucks.  Just too good to pass up.

loveha, it wobbles a lot more than my Samsung there, considerably more. However with price, and the simple fact that I never touch my screens other than to turn them on and off (which the switch is at the bottom right) it's a non issue for me.

nice find :o looks like i'll be holding off on my purchase for now.

Someone is selling one of these locally and for fairly cheap too. But I don't know how to tell if this is the OC version or not. He sent me a pic of the tags.

Nice, I was looking for a link in the OCN thread but wasn't finding it. Thank you

Killuchen, the serial number indicates it's a "C" model, not a "B". So it's not one of the OCing ones sorry.

Well I ordered my 4th monitor yesterday. Hopefully this one is in good shape. A major pain trying to sell these locally on craigslist :(

1+ to BHK. My parents were also wanting one, so I was gonna order two.. But now kinda nervous after hearing that.

So here are some pics of the Catleap, it's packaging, contents and it next to my 24" Samsung on my messy desk.

                        Less chat, more pics!
This bubble wrap, that's how it was shipped. There was no box or anything, just the screen in bubble wrap with the Con Note slapped on the otherside of the box (facing down to the table)

Box was in really good condition however.

Packed in really nice and tight with zero room to move during shipping. My Catleap did *not* come with a local kettle power cord or an adapter. Luckily I had one lying around from some other, older device.

I like how they styled the packaging as well to highlight the backplate of the screen.

On the desk next to my 24" Samsung.

                        Rear of the screen.

                        Apologies for the noisy/grainy images.
If I get a better chance in the future to use this camera in better lighting, then I will update pics.

Wow, that's nice! The more I see this thread the more it's killing me  lol. I REALLY want one of these things >.<  The only thing I see from your pictures that might be a negative (and since it's pictures... we know how subjective those can be) is that it appears to be crushing some colors at the top of the image (the dark blue areas of your desktop.) Is that just because of the angle of photography or what?

Where did you pick yours up at?

EDIT: Nevermind, I can tell it's just the amount of your image that's actually being displayed. Don't know why I didn't realize that before lol.

Ya, that image is 2560x1440 and my Samsung is only 1920x1200 so the whole image isn't being displayed on the Samsung.
The pictures cannot do the colours justice. It's such a big difference in colour quality between the Yamakasi and the Samsung, it's incredible!
I am really wanting a 2nd one now to replace my 24" as well.

One thing I did not mention in the above post is I did get 1 dead pixel. Unless there is 1 solid colour over that particular area though, I honestly don't see it.
For those interested my dead pixel was in the top right corner. Once I go surround I'll put that monitor on the right so I never see it...ever.

So tempted but I wish there was a user review on here. It would be a nice upgrade for school

Im working on one, just havent had a whole lot of time latley. I plan on showing everything from stock stand to de-bezeling, how to remove the silver plastic strap on the back that covers the VESA mounts, and pictures of colors.

with the dead pixel, many people had some success getting rid of them with that rubbing method thingy. i personally never had a dead pixel in any of my monitors before. *knock on wood*

oh yah... if you guys that recieved this monitor happen to have the original Crysis... download the CCC mod, and high res texture mod and play it again. my 2 480s are screaming for mercy but wow... it looks ridiculous when its daylight by the beach or in the woods.

Good idea, I'll have to install Crysis and check it out.  The only issue is I might have to get another GPU.  My one 5870 has a hard time at this high res on demanding games.  LOL.  Good reason to get a 680 i guess
BTW, had my catleap for about 2 weeks now and its fantastic.  The stand is the only thing that is cheap about it.  The screen, colors and image quality are all great.

Well I ordered my 4th monitor yesterday. Hopefully this one is in good shape. A major pain trying to sell these locally on craigslist :(

youve had 3 bad monitors? thats absolutely insane. lol i dont think ive heard of anyone with that much bad luck. what was your issue specifically?

One had 4 dead pixels.   One had VERY bad back light bleeding. And the last was from a private seller on ebay who stated the monitor was perfect and when I received it he had disassembled it to change the stand and put a 2" scratch at the top of the screen :(

Okay I too have almost had enough of this crap, and about to pull the trigger on at least one, and maybe up to 3 of these. I am either going to get a CrossOver model, OR a 100Mhz + version over at 120hz.net. According to that site, they are going to have 100mhz custom versions for sale starting May 7.

something you should think about before you go absolutely insane... 3 2560x1440 monitors running at 120hz... I dont even know what graphics cards I could recommend for you to run that type of setup... definitely will have to turn down a bunch of settings. just something to think about before you go nuts. This is the only thing holding me back right now from getting 2 more of these. I cant run more than 2 gfx cards, and I dont know 2 680 4gb can handle it in its full glory... along with the 690s probably will be VRAM choked.

You could probably run 3D vision on one assuming you could OC it to 120Hz, but so far the only video card that has gotten it past 120Hz was the 680GTX.

3D Surround, as of today, would probably be near impossible because, with these monitors, it was already proven that with SLI enabled you cannot surpass 100Hz, and 3D requires a minimum of 120Hz to enable.

Until they release the 680 GTX Classifieds with 4GB VRAM and that can be OC very high, a single 680 GTX with 2GB VRAM would probably net poor performance on 7680x1440 resolutions.

Are the ones on Amazon matte or gloss screens? I'm more partial to gloss because it makes whites look brighter. Also do these have tempered glass? The tempered glass is not a deal breaker, but it would be nice. Do need a gloss screen though.

One of my three I bought off amazon and it was the gloss screen.  I dont think its the temped glass because you can push on the screen and cause the distortion, where i heard the tempered glass model, that doesnt happen.  But maybe it is the tempered glass model and i just have strong fingers.  I know for sure its not the matte.
