EliteGeek91 Does anyone know which eBay seller has some of those OC'able monitors left? Right when I can find one on eBay, I will buy it! They apparently will start re-producing the "2B" versions come monday and have them available for sale thursday. way2faded Nice man, yea I knew they were close on getting the se models back but not that close. Also they are trying to just make available the se board so u can just upgrade ur current one....any mention of that Saer? Nice nicrulz, what do you think of the picture quality? Any issues with the base? There are a few threads on OCN, one of them was taking a poll on how many people would be interested in purchasing the "overclock-able" pcb's, owners of existing non "2B" versions would then have the ability to overclock their units.

I decided I'm gonna get one also. Just gonna wait until they have the 2B version. If they dont, then I'll grab any of them, still a killer deal for that res monitor.

Do they make anything larger that can be OC'd, or is the 27" 1440 the cream of the crop?

so wait a minute, how do you overclock this monitor? is it a hard mod or soft mod? it certainly is tempting...but i just can't get over the fact that...if something goes wrong, you're pretty much out of luck...and shipping is back to Korea right? gosh I can't imagine how much it will cost

All i can say is that, you cant find a better deal for that resolution regardless of the Hz it will set to. The human eye cant even see the difference after a certain point. Also, anyone interested from buying from the amazon.com seller, I purchased it at like 11pm on thursday, he shipped it on friday, and the tracking number says its already left alaska and will be at my house on monday. So he ships fast!!

They apparently will start re-producing the "2B" versions come monday and have them available for sale thursday. Just really curious where you heard this? I've personally contacted the 3 top ebay sellers and all of them deny 2b restocking in the near future. One of them has fairly close ties to the parent company or so I'm told. If you don't want to make it public please PM me.

You will notice a difference between 60 hz and 120 hz. If you don't, your eyes are flawed. Try it out, seriously.

This might be a silly question, but does it have the standard VESA mount on the back? I can't see any info on it.

Thanks KM! Yup, it does indeed look like they have the mount and holes in the back. I wanted to make sure that I could put these up on a triple-monitor stand.

I'm reading up on the OCN thread, but what is the difference between glass and no glass? is one option better than the other? I'm guessing glass adds durability but adds glare? any recommendations, tips, etc?

Kanti I'm reading up on the OCN thread, but what is the difference between glass and no glass? is one option better than the other? I'm guessing glass adds durability but adds glare? any recommendations, tips, etc? Don't get the one with glass on the top. Theres no anti-reflection in between the screen and glass, so it's just air. Potential for dust to get behind it, and if you have a stuck pixel, you wont be able to rub it to get it working again.

I think I'm gonna buy two, but if I buy two I'll want 3... maybe I should just buy one. It's mainly going to be for graphic design, and occasional gaming. is there enough room to work @ 2560x1440?

I just measured the desk, 26" is almost the whole area. Guess I'll buy a second one for the living room "PC." I have a second monitor on a desk for "work" that no one uses right now. I figure if I run a proper VM and get a good monitor I'll be more inclined to use it.

Just got mine in today. Unboxed it. Everything was there. Hooked it up, and there was not even 1 dead pixel! Its perfect. Got it in 2 business days from the amazon.com seller "EASTAR" Havent tried the OC on it, not really worried about it because im pretty sure the human eye cant really see much past 60 Progressive Hz unless you are constantly pumped full of adrenaline. Picture is amazing. Been doing some comparisons from my 1080p vs this 1440p and its amazing how much more detail is on this monitor! Out of the box the picture was perfect, did not have to adjust colors or anything. Some people said that there was green or blue tints, but there was none on mine. The amazon seller ships the Dual-Link DVI / Glass without speakers monitor. My PC is in a low lit room so there is never glare issues, the glass makes it look alot clearer in my opinion.

i can confirm the Catleap has VESA mounts. But in order to get at them you have to pull the monitor apart and remove that weird arch on the back.
