Well I've gone and done it now. I was waiting until I had the rest of the money but I got excited when searching ebay and found that green-sum has the monitors listed in two different auctions and separate prices. He has an ebay daily deals auction for the same basic model for $289 vs the other auctions for $318, and the 3 year squaretrade warranty is only $41.99. This is an absolutely killer deal, especially with the warranty. Even better I ordered 3 monitors and was planning to order three warranties, until I thought about it and decided to just order one. As far as I know the serial number of your product is not registered with squaretrade, only the purchase receipt is. Soo... if one of the three monitors goes out in the next three years, who's to know what monitor the original warranty was for! genius! so I got three monitors plus 3 years warranty, plus free expedited shipping and paid via billmelater which is no interest for 6 months and got it all for $911 I feel like I won the lottery, so I can pay it all back when my current 120hz eyefinity setup is sold. I also checked the order history of this monitor and it is the same model that was selling for $330 a week ago then $318 all week and now I scored it for $289! I'm pretty excited. I guess I will let everyone know how well I really did when I get all three. Lets hope i got lucky and have no DOA's or dead pixels, bleeding etc!

Ya square trade usually just pays people what the product is worth in cases like these Korean monitors.

I highly recommend the monitor. I find myself to be a very competitive, hardcore gamer...And I also find this monitor to be the best monitor I've ever owned. Even at 60 hz, the colors are wonderfully vibrant, and you get 2560x1440 which is considerably better looking than 1920x1080. My Catleap 2B is right next to my wife's 24" Asus, and she always comments that my monitor is like actually looking at something rather than a picture of something. As if you could touch the objects on the screen.

I have to admit, the colors are wonderful, running 120hz at 2560x1440 is an amazing experience, and games in general are much more enjoyable. Diablo 3 looks amazing, Battlefield 3 looks amazing, CS: GO looks amazing, and so on and so forth. If you have the power to push 2560x1440, I highly recommend getting this freaking monitor!!

EDIT: Also would like to say that my BF3 skills definitely have not been hurt by the switch to this monitor! It took a tad bit of adjusting at first, but now I feel like I am even better due to the higher refresh rate! Everything is so smooth. I'm not sure how to explain it other than that it helps me detect enemies better. Also player control seems to have increased. No noticeable input lag increase from going from a TN panel to IPS.

interesting.so is it up to the seller to offer the square trade warranty,or is that an ebay wide option?

Its an eBay option to add square trade to your purchase. Squaretrade is also an independent company though, they just offer special deals to eBay now.

Seems like a sure thing as long as you have a 600 series.

this is the link on overclock.net to the microcenter having the monitor on stock. I dont believe the manufacturer is the same as what everyone is looking at. but anyways make sure you local microcenter has it in stock before you go selling your monitor. I would also recommend buying 1 first to make sure its what you want before you go and buy 3 of them.

My Usual luck. I ordered from Greensum on ebay which most people go through, and he mailed the packages DHL express. I ordered the monitors on sunday and most people would have them by now so I check the tracking and the packages are stuck in Korea which I called and found out was because of missing paperwork. Now I'm trying to contact the seller to make him go back and fix the paperwork. I was planning on going on a 4 day vacation this weekend but now I'm too scared my monitors will show up on my door step and sit several days outside my house.

Does square trade even warranty these models? I am pretty sure they have. Clause they only warranty items that is sold in the USA. A lot of members on overclock.net confirmed this awhile back and everyone got a refund on their square trade warranty.

I have seen multiple users on [H] and OCN say the exact same thing.  SquareTrade does not warranty these monitors since they are produced for sale outside the US.  However microcenter has it's own 27" korean monitor and afaik SqaureTrade will cover that.

I'm pretty sure it would be easy to argue it with Squaretrade considering the auction specifically says the monitor is covered by Squaretrade warranty and the warranty can be added to the auction before and after the purchase. As long as you don't bring up the fact the monitor is from Korea they would probably just refund the purchase amount without noticing. And if they did notice you would have an extremely good argument considering its their agenda to offer the warranty for this monitor on eBay.

I got all three today. Amazing monitors. Just one totally overwhelms my senses and I'm used to eyefinity. The extra pixels are a lot to take in. I think three might even give me a headache. Gorgeous monitors though, and so far I can't find anything wrong with any of them, I'm extremely happy.

When I bought my Catleaps I got email from Square Trade regarding a warranty.  They took my $99 so I better have a warranty. Congrats bigbrag on your monitors :) If you have it and the hp fire up Witcher 2 with Uber on..mindblowing :)

That's good to know you had confirmation from Square Trade. Considering hundreds of people have purchased these monitors with squaretrade warranties and they still offer the warranty, I'm pretty sure it's been cleared up. I'll have to check out witcher 2. Skyrim as well. The colors are amazing on this thing. I've owned a few different imacs including the 27" and these are just good. I wanted to order the tempered glass version, but didn't want to pay the extra money so I got the standard version, which I didn't realize has the same glossy screen that I wanted all along. I have light blocking curtains in my office, so glossy provides better coloring than matte without having to worry about glare.  I'm just running one screen right now and can't even decide if I want to configure them as eyefinity. I may just throw a cheap card in my system to the get the other screens going, and just game on the one with my 6970.  Three of these things stretches about 6 feet wide so I probably wouldn't really even notice the side screens that far away.

just hooked up one of mine.  No noticeable backlight bleeding but won't really be able to tell for sure till tonight.  Otherwise my god does this look pretty.   Only complaint is the stand is very wobbly but i'm ordering a triple monitor stand for them.  huge difference going from 24" 1920x1200 monitors to a 27" 2560x1440 res.  So much real estate!

Ya they are equally as impressive as any imac 27" monitor I've ever seen. Although when I turn the brightness down on my monitor the white become very dingy towards the bottom and has a very yellow tint. Its not as noticeable when the brightness is turned up though.

i've never seen any apple monitors in person but if this is how good they appear then no wonder people like them.  Although i'm perfectly happy with my cheap korean version so far(minus the stand, as i type its driving me nuts wobbling about haha)

Ya the stand is really dependent on your desk. My desk is 7ft x 6ft and about 3ft deep so it's very Sturdy and the monitor doesn't move. I do have qualms with how all three monitors don't line up when side by side due to some sag and discrepancies in the stands. I will eventually purchase a triple monitor stand.

yeah i have a glass topped desk that isn't really sturdy so it shows every little movement when typing.  i did notice the sag/stand differences but what can you expect haha

I've got mine and I'm loving it! Just lightbleed on the left and right as well as the bottom corners, but I'm not happy with one thing. Is it normal for the monitor to have a weird white coming out when you are looking down on the screen? i.e. standing up? I sit down, it looks normal, I look up at the monitor at a low position, and the white doesn't come out, but when I stand up and look down on it, I can notice that the screen is overwhelmed with brightness or some weird white...don't know how to explain it. Blacks look whitish/grayish when you do this I mean, at an angle.

My 6970 displays the Bios fine. These monitors do not have scalers but I believe they can display 1280x800 (which i think is natvie bios resolution) as well as 2560x1440p.
