im open to any suggestions for a case and mobo.

    A Silverstone or Lian-Li case is always nice.

    If you want a really small system, you could do a Mini-ITX board, in which case something like this is pretty small:

    You only need to worry about a bit of cooling, as the holes dont provide enough ventilation for my AMD E-350 mobo.
