Ram question; upgrade or not?

I have a i7-930 (OC 950), ASUS Rampage 3 Gene, EVGA GTX 680 SC+, 6 gigs Mushkin Redline (6-8-6-24, 1.65v). I wanted to upgrade the ram to a 12 GB kit. Is it worth it performance wise (for gaming) or wait for a complete new build (holy trinity of PCI-E 3.0) that I will/maybe do in about 4-6 months? Recommendations?

Going from 6GB to 12GB of RAM will do nothing for game performance.

If you were dealing with graphics and large amount of images, then you really would need more RAM. If you haven't and want to, might want to put one of the 120GB SSDs in.
