your god

anyone know why sli580 1.5gb crash alot on bf3 with sli on........oh my stuff is running 120 hz and 120fps....3d monitor with no glasses eemmm lol

Whats your hardware config and what in-game settings are you using for BF3?

What do you mean by "crashing"?
You must describe the event in more detail to help us determine the cause.....
Lockup, black screen, blue screen, game drops to desktop... ect.

You might want to post in my BF3 Guide tread http://www.evga.com/forums/fb.ashx?m=1323124

Great drivers, but they totally overvolt my 590. I hope they fix this. I wonder what 590 bios was tested in conjunction with this driver since the 590 is supported.

Hmmm I see, wth. Mine sits at default voltage only a quarter of the time, then goes to .963v, then when at 553mhz > .950v, when at 405mhz > .925v , then 50mhz .875v (correct)

What bios version is on your card?

I don't know if the driver is the problem, but I think I got a memory decrease with my 570 earlier. In GTA IV, my memory read 1.240GB but now it only reads 1.225GB. What's the problem here?

Are you talking about GPU memory "use"?
This driver appears to "use" slightly less memory in some games (I have tested BF3)

I would use GPUz or Afterburner/Precision to view the installed memory on your videocard, I would not trust a older game engine like GTA to properly report GPU memory.

Well... not memory use, but just overall memory (for example, on GTA IV, my memory use is 1.203/1.240GB. I've seen others before with the same card (months ago, before the driver) that get the same 1.24GB reading in GTA IV.

I'll check Precision for my memory, but it's too late to figure out if there's a problem because I don't remember the reading I've checked before (which was a few months ago).

I really would not worry, drivers can change values sometimes... but they do not damage videocard memory

hehe... even so, would 15MB be considered memory damage? and i've been taking care of my system...how would damage occur? :)

Well, I installed these drivers on the first day...all went well on the install like every driver pretty much. Haven't had a single crash so far, just like the others. Temps are around the same. My highest score in 3dmark11 jumped 20 pts. Nothing spectacular. Mass Effect 3 looks real nice with 4xmsaa and 2xsgssaa. BF3 is working great as well!

Looks like my 570 is happy with this set!

overall experience with 301 beta drivers: catastrophic failure

I use the 290.53 beta drivers with my EVGA 560TI Superclocked because they are literally the only drivers that let my computer resume from s3 sleep mode. Anyways, i installed the 301 beta driver (followed correct procedure exactly, uninstalled, rebooted safemode ran sweeper, rebooted normal mode, installed only graphic driver and physx). In BF3 my screen would flash black for 2 seconds when i would die, and when i tried to resume from sleep mode my hard drives came on but no response for the monitor (black screen) which then proceeded to make my computer go into a boot loop. After restarting by holding down the power button it told me my BIOS was corrupted and flashed the backup bios.

Needless to say i immediatly uninstalled 301 beta and reinstalled 290.53 beta

turns out that the problem with the slightly decreased memory is a result of the new driver.. i've talked to a 570 user and they said they had the same "problem".

overall experience with 301 beta drivers: catastrophic failure

Sorry to see you are having troubles with this one. I have my computer set to sleep every hour not in use. I usually wake it several times a day and have not experienced this problem one time. Back in the day though my monitor (1200p) would lose signal when I woke it or even sometimes when first booting up. I replaced my single-link dvi cable with a new dual-link cable and the problem went away.
Hope you figure it out, buddy.

I dont know if it was my fault, But I installed the Beta drivers last night and now the Windows Task bar on the bottom is only on the middle screen and no across all three screens anymore. I can move the dang bar but not extend it like it was before. But when I shut down it flashes back to its Full extended size across all three before shuting down windows. other than that the drivers are good i think. I think i install drivers badly. I just install over my current ones, telling just to update the graphic drivers.

                                      that sucks.

Just so you know you don't have to boot into safe mode and use Driver Sweeper anymore. just select clean driver install when installing the new driver. The installer will automatically clean the old driver out to make way for the new one.  You just need to shut Precision down before you install the new driver.

Try it again this way if you havn't already and see if it helps.

under the nvidia control panel at the top hit desktop then go to the surround displays option then unclick the define taskbar to center display this will solve the problem of taskbar being on only the middle monitor and make it along all 3 like it was

My 2 cents on this new driver...install went fine as any other driver install. I tested it only on Batman AC being as that's the game I had been currently playing.  With ALL settings kept the same, I noticed a few things different. 1, a loss of 10 - 15 fps with beta driver. 2, GPU usage increased into the 90's yet temps were down 5 - 6c, & 3, Vram usuage decreased somewhat.  The above mentioned were comparing the new Beta driver to the WHQL 296.10 driver.  I typically set Vsync on which keeps a nice steady 60fps, but with these new Beta's, it would not maintain the 60fps.  Needless to say, I went back to the 296 drivers.
EDIT:  After all the mostly positive feedback posted on this driver, I decided to give it another try.  I don't know what happened the 1st time I tried it, but this time, everything seems to be working pretty well.  Most games I don't notice much performance gains really, but none got worse.  Running Heaven Benchmark using 296.10 driver, then this new Beta, I did get a definite performance boost.  Max FPS increased, Min FPS didn't drop as low & then of course that made my score higher. So now I'm happy with this driver set.

i also have an issue with the driver 301.24 i have quad sli evga gtx 590 game ran perfect with vsync on get solid 60fps no matter what is going on even with recording using fraps on BF3 ultra setting all maxed on 1920x1080p 1 monitor with 296.10. since i downloaded new beta driver 301.24 all settings the same it would only get 1-10 fps. i even disabled sli and ran 1 card and didnt go above 3fps. I deleted and reinstalled driver 296.10 and it works perfect again. i tried 3 times with testing the new driver and still had same issue. if i always go back to 296.10 no issues. hope this info helps to get things worked out! my specs are:

I dont know if it was my fault, But I installed the Beta drivers last night and now the Windows Task bar on the bottom is only on the middle screen and no across all three screens anymore. I can move the dang bar but not extend it like it was before. But when I shut down it flashes back to its Full extended size across all three before shuting down windows. other than that the drivers are good i think. I think i install drivers badly. I just install over my current ones, telling just to update the graphic drivers.

Also can some one for the love of all things Computer explain how you can copy and paste into this dang quick reply box!

under the nvidia control panel at the top hit desktop then go to the surround displays option then unclick the define taskbar to center display this will solve the problem of taskbar being on only the middle monitor and make it along all 3 like it was

At this time (12 days of use and testing with BF3) 301.24 appears to be the best Nvidia driver yet for Battlefield 3
I suggest that all BF3 players using 400/500/600 series cards install and test it for themselves
