feniks this store is an authorized dealer, EVGA even put their link on product page: http://www.evga.com/produ...ries%20Family&sw=5 order from them if you like, EVGA supports it I'm sure they are a good company, but I would never buy from someone that their return policy on something that frequently goes bad(motherboards) is *never*. Their policy explicitly states no motherboard returns/exchanges/refunds, deal with manufacturer. And it's cool... from a business standpoint me and that company are on the same page, but from a consumer standpoint, not a chance.

Performance-pcs is a really good with customer service and getting things out quickly. I order all my LC parts from there and never had a problem. They have an ok return policy, id rather just wait for evga though and get it from them.

I've purchased things from them all the time... it's a legitimate retailer. Most online retailers will not take back motherboards, as the warranty is with the manufacturer, not the retailer anyway. There are a few exceptions (newegg) but their return window is very limited, and it typically takes longer to send it back to the retailer than it does to just work with EVGA's excellent RMA policy, anyway. I already purchased mine at PCS. Delivery shows monday! Hopefully they actually have em "in stock" and aren't just counting on getting them! (p.s. Performance-pcs doesn't charge sales tax... so it's like you are getting a discount, too! :) ) FINALLY!! What a relief.

Hopefully we can read into that statement that EVGA should have these available today. Hopefully whatever delay they ran into has been squashed and we'll actually be able to grab them from EVGA today directly.

Performance PCs is a great place. I buy from them often. They have a more inventory for cooling products, custom cases, and other cool stuff than any other online retailier. Best of all they are located in Palm Bay, Florida, which is 4 hours North of me Question is, do I buy from them, and get it quick + pay taxes, or buy from EVGA, get it later, and no taxes.

The real issue is the fact that they do NOT have the boards and are just selling them based on EVGA drop shipping them(confirmed over the phone)

But I'm not going to buy from them based on a "should" given all the delays this board has had so far.

I snapped it up ASAP, mostly to be sure I would get one in this first batch. If my gut feeling is right, and it usually is, the inventory from EVGA's store will vaporize in a matter of minutes. Fingers crossed I purchased from Performance-pcs early enough that I'll be getting one of the first delivered.

I sincerely do hope it works out for you, but given the answer I got when I called them I doubt they even know how many are available and how many they will actually get. As to EVGA's inventory, Jacob suggested that they had quite a few of them and that it wouldn't be a major rush situation like the 680's but I'm not sure I'm buying that story. Having said that though, there aren't a TON of us on here that seem to be waiting either so I don't know..

If they do, I'll probably give a quick call to cancel my order with Performance-PCS and grab it from EVGA. They, at least, are right down the street from me (Brea, CA) ... so I can go wring their necks if they delay the shipment.

There is a 20% Re-Stocking fee at Performance pcs. Maybe it won't apply if you cancel soon enough but i wouldn't count on it.

Haha, I sincerely doubt they'd stand up for a restocking fee on an item that they #1 never "stocked" in the first place and #2 an item that they didn't even ship. In my case they'd need to take that up with AMEX after I declined the charge, but in summary, I wouldn't be concerned about the restocking fee.

There is no way they can charge you a restocking fee. If the item isn't truly in stock but advertised as it is and isn't a preoder then you shouldn't have to pay it and the credit card company would agree.

Welp, I just got the notice I was expecting... order status changed to "Drop Ship Pending"... I asked what exactly that meant for my order ship date, and if I could cancel my order provided I found it 'in stock' somewhere else, so we'll see what they say... EVGA... you may want to change the status of the link on your z77 page from "Available online now:" to "Available online soon (tm):"

Hopefully coming up soon... but it's very encouraging that you were given a tracking number... usually UPS won't provide a blank tracking number as they have to weigh the package to issue the label. Sadly, my bank account remains at its current level and not $330 + tax lighter in association to my pre-order with EVGA.

Interesting... here's the response I got from Performance-pcs when I asked what 'drop shipping' meant: "It means it is shipping directly from eVGA and so it is not backordered. Just waiting to get tracking later today. Best Regards, Customer Service" So it looks like they don't even actually have the product... it's literally shipping directly from EVGA, they are just the 'middle man' processing the order. Go snap em up, they're still in stock!

Delirious Yep, looks you just fed the middle man. Indeed. No big deal as far as I am concerned... cost me the same out of pocket either way. I'm kinda wondering why EVGA is selling through another retailer instead of their own store, though. If they are shipping directly from EVGA, you'd think EVGA would be the first to sell em. Oh well. Only one that loses on this deal (so far) is EVGA... I assume PerformancePCS is taking it's cut.
