Can't wait for the board to get here, been checking everyday to see when the one I pre ordered will ship.    Upgrading from a 3 year old laptop, have had a evga gtx680 just sitting here waiting next to my 3770k for nearly a month . I am hoping it paid off to wait out for evga's board, still have an evga nforce 4 board with an amd fx 57 running in my shop lol, hoping this new z77 one will be just as reliable. Got my case all set up with an corsair h100, power cables all routed, so excited to get this board.

I think lot about Memory for Z77 FTW. First option is Guranteed Support Memory Dominator GT 2133 1.5V but this is so exspensive RAM. I still think and I will buy CORSAIR for sure but I don't know and what you think about Dominator GT 1866 but 1.65V. This memory is total acceptable price for me. But it's not Guranteed Support and I don't know how will work on Z77 FTW.
Better pay more for full support like CORSAIR and EVGA advice.
What you think about that, only Corsair.

I'm sure the ram you want to use will work just fine. I've used ram that wasn't on the motherboards compatibility list and it worked out just fine for me, just make sure you setup your CL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS, tRFC & CR manually in the bios to match your sticks.

I ordered some corsair dominator gt 1866mhz ram for my system, I figure really 1600mhz would best fast enough, but I like the red.
Really will 2133mhz really be worth the extra money far as performance goes ? I will try and find it but saw some benchmarks done with an icy bridge cpu, I was not very impressed with how much faster the 2133mhz was over 1866, really was not much better then 1600mhz either, not enough to make me want to spend more on 2133mhz ram anyways.

Yep, got myself the Dominator GT 1866MHz kit for a good price. Can't justify spending anymore!

Also, you may not realize, you just created a new meme. Icy bridge CPU it is!! Watch for ice on bridge!!!!!

                    Difference is big.
                    16GB 2133 for me 260e.
                    8GB 2133 170e
                    16GB 1866 130e.
What you think??? I can try for this to find so hard because for us online is something almost immposibile.
I wait 40 days 2xGentle Typhoon and 200mm Demciflex for Obsidian 650D. Finally arrived before two days.
Pay Pal not work, No Pay Pal in Serbia can you imagine. Not exists.
But I FIND option for both 1866 and 2133 Dominator GT. I afraid for board compatibility this is problem.

"Your new motherboard has four 240-pin slots for DDR3 memory. These slots support 1GB, 2GB and 4GB DDR3 DIMMs."
This is from the Z77 FTW manual. So it doesn't support 8 GB DIMM's? I was wanting to install

Just because it's not on the "supported" list doesn't mean it's not gonna work. But how much do I know about a board that's right before release stage?

So this is crap..... I just woke up, jumped on my computer with credit card in hand, and it's still not available. If they are there, why not make them available? So what boards are being flashed. You have them, and have an idea of how many can be sold, so quit the suspenseful game playing and take our money already. We have been patient enough. I love you EVGA, but come on, you're pissing me off!

I wouldn't expect it to be out until this afternoon, it's still 6:00AM PST and I doubt it'd be available then.

After some introspection... I am concerned that in the last few weeks (since the 3770k became available), my life has become nothing more than visits to this forum.  Every morning the first thing I do when I wake up is rush to the nearest web enabled device and go to evga.com and click products, then motherboards and scroll to the z77 all the while praying that somehow the "Notify Me" option has become "Buy Now".  I know that I am not alone.  The only solace I have is that there are many others who, like me, are in dire need of this board.
My wife certainly cannot understand the fact that a collection of IC chips, plastic sockets, and PCB should appeal to one's prurient interests the way this board does.  Her only input is "can't you just buy another board?"  Obviously, I could, but there are no other red ones. What am i gonna do? Buy the Gigabyte sniper whatever it is with it's ugly slime green motif that will clash with every other thing I'm gonna put in this rig?  Buy the Sabertooth?  I like ASUS but I just dont want a board named after a paleolithic cat.
So here I am.  Writing utterly meaningless posts to EVGA's forums while I wait for the seemingly never to appear "Buy Now" option.  I do apologize for the long post, but I have nothing else to do, and this was oddly theraputic.  If anyone reads all of this, thank you for listening.

"Your new motherboard has four 240-pin slots for DDR3 memory. These slots support 1GB, 2GB and 4GB DDR3 DIMMs."
This is from the Z77 FTW manual. So it doesn't support 8 GB DIMM's? I was wanting to install

                                      G.SKILL Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200)

The manual is likely incorrect. Main page and spec sheets show the board is capable of 32GB of RAM, just like all other 4 DIMM Z77 boards out there (that I have seen at least) which has to mean up to 8GB per slot.

                                          It also says

Officially supports up to 32GBs of DDR3 memory.

So only way to achieve 32GB is 4x8GB.

I look to on CORSAIR site too, this list is little. I am not interest for KHX and GSkill.
CH4F have more support memory than whole list for whole EVGA boards. I will ask CORSAIR about 1866 Dominator GT because same price is 16GB and 8GB 2133 Guranteed Support.
I have only 150e for RAM and I must decide. 8GB of 2133 or 16GB 1866. but If you ask me 2x4GB is enough but I don't know.

                                                        I know that.
I play on 2x2GB KHX 1600 Grey now.
But now I want to finished with DDR3 for all time.
It's so hard and annoying when choice is so bad at my home.

I don't think that 2133 ram is very usefull.

You'll get a 2 or 3 percent in benchmark, maybe 5% for specific bench.
But in every-day use (like gaming, photoshop etc.) it will be around 1%.

And why Dominator and not Vengeance?

Edit: test, see Photoshop, gaming and co.

I love Dominator GT and Ridgback Redline.
CORSAIR and Mushkin is RAM for my taste.
CORSAIR on first place and I want flagship this time.
                                                            Only don't know 2133 or 1866.
I think better is 1866 4x4GB and finished with memory for all time.
                                                            I think on DDR3.
And 149e is last acceptable price for me. Exactly that price is on Caseking.
1866 is in two pack and I got 2x Airflow 2 and I have third in my comp Airflow Pro led activity but only fan work now.
                                                            If I sell 2 I got 16GB Dominator GT for about 100-110e.
I don't wont extreme RAM OC, maybe 2000MHz and play with latency - enough for me.
