Well, without getting too mushy and what not i will just say after being off of work for 2yrs, two back surgeries later...I had an eye opening experience learning how to survive and keep the house afloat and keeping my kids active in after-school sports and singing lessons etc.... Things got pretty rough, the saying "scraping the bottom of the barrel" comes to mind, however i flipped that barrel inside out a few times and couldnt find the top.
I participated in this challenge because of the goals, and more importantly the community of Evga folders. I had no right accumulating such a high power bill being out of work but I felt for some reason I needed to do this one. Right at the end of this contest I was told I could finally return to work, No joke...on April fools day. You can imagine where my mindset was hearing the news on that day LOL.
So, i will sum up everything by saying i now know what i "need" and dont "need". I also know what not winning feels like "contests" and in "real life" (i can hear someone saying HA Charlie Sheen-winning hAha." -after they just read that! ...anyway, after what i saw what Dutch did i was even more inspired to give back. I truly feel blessed to be back to work and to be a part of a wonderful community here at Evga. Even when the bickering comes we somehow seem to keep it together 'like a family' and thats why I am giving away one of my GTX 580 SC cards. That is correct "580".
Sorry ,,, i didnt mean to ramble. Ultimately I just want someone else to have that feeling of being rewarded for their efforts. If i could give everyone a card I truly would! EVGA FTW!
Good luck to those in the selection!, and thanks again Punchy, Troy8d for their time, and to all the others for their donations and time in this event and all the other contests.
