Old Cosmos 1000 to - > HAF 932 case Thursday, April 05, 2012 10:57 PM (permalink)
I had the Cosmos 1000, but gave up on it due to the poor cable management options.

specs:
i7-930 @2.8
EVGA 767 mobo
Patriot Viper sector II ram
Kingwin 1000w mach 1 psu
EVGA GTX 470 with backplate and highflow bracket (second 470 is in the wifes pc for now)
XFX GTX 9800+ (only for the second monitor)
Cooler Master 932 advanced blue edition

Heres a pic even after some mods to the case too.

Before:

 (link to old pics http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=928770&high=cosmos+1000)
I decided to grab the CM HAF 932 instead.
These pics are not final. I have a corsair H100 to throw in it, and when I do I will be putting the H70 on my GTX 470 card.
The second card in there is a 9800gtx+. I only use it for my second monitor, because with 2 monitors the GTX 470 temps increase by 10'c +
When I put the H70 mod on it, that won't be a problem.

Here are some new pics until I finish up the H100/H70 installation.

Once I get time to slap the H100 in, and the H70 onto the GTX470 I'll post some more

(cables around the PC are for my drill and the baby video monitor (to monitor my 3 month old)

Nice! I upgraded my previous Cosmos 1000 to the HAF X. Let me tell you, the difference is night and day. WAY superior cable management, and even better... airflow. The Cosmos 1000 had little to no airflow, as it was designed with either negative pressure in mind or water cooling.

Yep. I miss the look of the case, but thats it
I had modded the side panel to have 2x 120mm fans with grills on them, to blow onto the GPU's. It helped, but the cable management always bogged the air flow down aswell.

Really nice. Some more time in for cable management and you got yourself a really nice looking machine!
Curious, as to how you mounted that120mm/140mm fan in the 5.25" bay? I'm looking to do the same thing myself.

          I use this
          http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999141

but with my own CM blue fan on it
To attach the 140mm fan to the back of it I just used some double sided tape
          like this stuff.
