Need help selling something. Saturday, March 31, 2012 7:59 PM (permalink)
I am putting this here because I am not actually trying to sell items here. I already have a FS thread and it is getting little to no hits due to it being amd. I need some advice as to where I can go to get the traffic I need to sell an older chipset and a newer 1090T chipset. I went to Overclockers.com, made my 100 posts but because I posted so quickly they have me on like a 90 day probation period to see what my full intentions are there. I think its retarded but w.e. So I guess I messed that up for 90days. Problem is I need to try and make these sales ASAP. I will be returning something to Compusa/Tiger direct and hopefully in return I will get my 1155 motherboard. Anyway I just need some ideas of where I can go that has a market place structure like evga so I can try to sell this amd stuff. =/

Thanks

I can't do ebay. No credit card. I have price cut myself. 120 and 120 for both so 240 for basically a brand new amd set up. Just seems no one on here wants anything to do with AMD =X

Why are you so hellbent on selling your current gear? All I see from you is you wanting to get out of what you have now. It's clear your finances aren't all in line, so why are you constantly trying to shuffle your gear around? You're aware that if you return that card back to CompUSA and go with a single card for your planned intel build, you will be taking a significant downgrade in your gaming performance by only having a single GTX560 right? You're not accomplishing anything other than inconveniencing yourself and downgrading in the process, sure you'll have a faster CPU, but with half the GPU rendering power with only a single card. I've made several posts telling you as much and you just ignore them, so I expect you to do the same here, but really you should think this through before you make a mistake. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your current system and I'm sure you can play any game out with it as is.

I've seen your posts over the last few days/weeks and wondered the same thing actually. What is that you're hoping to gain with this move? Because as Crap says, as it sits now you'll actually be hurting your stated goal of a gaming machine.

My computer finds cures for diseases and searches for aliens when I'm not gaming...what does yours do?

I ultimately wanna run the 2 cards and be able to upgrade to the intel chip. Thats the plan. But in order to do so I need to sell my current gaming rig. It will get me enough to get the processor or motherboard and I have other items in the process of selling whcih might get me to 2x 560s anda 2500K

Just keep what you have. You're not going to have this huge revelation by going to an intel build in your games. Seriously, you're just wasting your time and money you don't have.

maybe he has one of those disorders like gamblers or something.  It wouldn't make sense otherwise; probably why it makes such little sense to us.  Don't mean to come off rude, but it's the only thing I can think of given the information at hand.

I do have an addictive personality yes. And I won't lie ever since I joined the forums I have become addicted to assembling and disassembling rigs. I actually took apart and put back together my old rig maybe 10 times. I am talking about a socket 939 rig.

I understand that overclocking with intel is much easier and superior compared to AMD. As it stands now I have to put my voltage at 1.5v almost in order to hit 4.0ghz on a chip that is normally 3.2ghz.. The temps from this are not to my liking. Also I caught the intel bug and just want to convert. I know it makes no sense but to me it does. Also I am trying to rid my self of the 560(non tis) and try to upgrade to the ti classy ultras if possible. But I do not want to do this on my board. I am being held back on my overclock with this thubian chip. Any higher then 4 is a bust so far.

Just keep in mind, these are all IDEAS at the moment. I may over all in the end stick with what I am using. I still need to take care of some other things for the time being. But you guys are correct. I might be better off keeping what I have, upgrade something I need, say my monitor or something or maybe an SSD or better cooling? And wait to IB drops because by that time I very well may be employed long enough and have enough saved up to buy it with out selling this rig off.
