The question is related to how many ref cards were released to EVGA from Nvidia. In the context from Matt (assist Product mng) supply and demand... Is there a min/max figure or :"limited" QTY. per Class?? i.e: Classy Ultra? Hydro so on and so forth..... Demand for EVGA is as of now the greatest i have seen seen it..... Stocks > SC's > FTW > Classy>> How many can we expect? Thanks KemTech
(i7-3770K 3.9 Corsair Vengeance 16 GB EVGA Z77-FTW 3x EVGA 670 SLi AX1200) (new) i7-2600K 4.5 Corsair Vengeance 8 GB GigaByte P67-UD7-a 1x GT 640 AX650 i7-875K 4.2 Corsair Dominators 8 GB EVGA P55-SLi EVGA 560ti 2 GB HX850

If EVGA were to release this, the all of the other OEMs would use it as leverage to try to get more out of NVIDIA.

It's all part of the marketing strategy. They "don't know" when they'll be getting more in, they "don't know" when something will be released, etc. etc. It drives desire for a product way up when it is the best product in a market and it is sold in "limited quantities." They actually do know most, if not all of these things... they just are not able to release that information, or else this strategy will be ruined. Nvidia wants everyone holding off on their non-ref cards for a certain amount of time so they will actually sell. Imagine if evga dropped their classified 680's tomorrow. The desire for a reference card at $500 would be greatly diminished.

Andrew_K It drives desire for a product way up when it is the best product in a market and it is sold in "limited quantities." This is not true. I have already given our best estimates for the upcoming EVGA versions. FTW/Classified in a few months (Maybe May timeframe) SC Signature and Waterblocks within a few weeks. Believe it or not what usually takes the longest amount of time for custom versions like EVGA FTW/Classified is the custom cooler. Waterblock versions are a bit quicker since they are hand made on a C&C machine. Also, the supply for these versions depends on A LOT of factors.
