Recently purchased a GTX 480 from Newegg - question

So if I buy an extended warranty from EVGA I will be able to do a step up to the GTX 680 that is supposed to be launching soon? I bought the GTX 480 for $209, so if I do the Step Up and buy the GTX 680 I will have to pay the difference between whatever price EVGA sells their card and what I paid for mine (209)? Depending on the performance of the GTX 680 the Step Up might be worth it which is why I am asking. How does the process work after I buy the extended warranty for my GTX 480? Do I just buy the GTX 680 from the EVGA website directly and they will know to charge only the price difference? Thanks.

If you purchase the extended warranty you have 90 days to step-up to any card on the step up list. There will be a button to start a new step up on your account. You enter the step-up que and pay the difference once you complete the que.

If you step up to the 680-KR, do you get the extended warranty you already purchased or do you need to purchase th 5 or 10 yr warranty?

Its considered a new purchase and new warranty, so the extended warranty does not transfer over.
