driver failure with GTX 580 (Fermi)

Hello, I have been having a problem with my new gaming rig from the start. After about a week of installing GPU drivers i get constant "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered" errors. sometimes I'll get 1 or 2 back to back, other times it will fail up to 6 or 7 times within 20 seconds. This will happen when I'm playing BF3, SC2, Civ 5, watching 1080 or 720 videos, and even internet browsing. I have updated the cards firmware given out on this site. Need to look and see if there is a new version though, last I looked was about 2 weeks ago, and I was still up to date. I have tried all driver sets from 295.73 all the way back to 280.26 with betas included. --my driver install method start in safe mode run driver sweeper, clean all gpu related items. Reboot, sometimes in safe mode, most times in reg mode, and install the new driver i wish to roll the dice on. 295.73 gives me to black flash (1-2sec) when starting and finishing any video, flash vids, random website advertisement, WMP, WMP classic, and that's even with updating my adobe flash. Today a new set of drivers came out, and I'll be installing those after this post. So, just to reiterate. I'll install a new driver set, comp will run fine for about 4-5 days. Then I'll start getting driver crashes, slow at first 1-2 a day, and build up to 30-40 after about the 7th day. Re-installing drivers gives me 4-5 days of descent computer use. Any and all help would be great. I'm open to trying anything, I really dont want to reinstall windows (7 64bit) but with evidence or sufficient theories I'll give it a try. Thanks again!
