Its a glitch in CPUZ, look at the line where it says Specification there it shown as E5645.

i have a test with similar settings so you can compare

yes that's a mars2 stock clock i only have cpu's at 4G there both mars 2's are stock on quad sli,,

so u eman to say 2 -mars 2 edition at stock beast 4 gtx-580 over clocked --

also i guess u are on a xtreme cpu at 4ghz where as i am not at 4ghz and on non xtreme xeons .
 
anyway nice score ---even if on stock .
can  y post a pic of ur rig / set up ./ mobo etc

Nice scores guys, also nice benching station.
I been think about going that route on this SR2 build I hope to start Mon./Tues.
I don't want a full size server case for this build, but looking around not much to choose from.
Of course 90% of the rigs I have are all on a bench setup. Only 2 cases out of 10 computers. lol
But there all folding/benching rigs, so no real need for a case. To much parts swapping. lol

no more things to do, purchase higher multiplier xeons, you will reach 4.8 at maximum with tons of luck.

has any one done a maxmem benchmark run ---with over 24gb of ram on sr2 --
 
asking coz even at 2000mhz i dont get a decent score at all -strange
its either to much ram for the benchmark to take or some thing
 

consider yourself lucky. I have not seen you complain about lost ram. My SR2 with my 5645's lose ram at anything above 182 for some reason. I had it at 200 at one time, not sure what happened. haven't looked into it much though.
 
My sr2 with 5670's is not so bad but will do the same thing. I cannot use turbo with my 5670's for some reason, it will crash even at low clocks. Could be slightly defective mobo's, not sure.
 
I currently run my 5645s [link=mailto:19*182@1.247v]19*182@1.247v[/link] I could probably run lower volts, just haven't played with it much cause I need the system running 24-7
 
My 5670's are running [link=mailto:22*186@1.35v]22*186@1.35v[/link] Same thing, I can tweak more and/or run lower volts, just haven't played with it much
 
I think the 5645's ideal speed is typically 3.8ghz. higher will take more work and might not be as stable.
 
Best of luck, but if you want to run in the mid 4ghz range, you need different chips

You could drop a few cores and get a higher max OC, but that's not really a good option, except for max CPUZ
screen shot and bragging rights.
Dropping cores allows you to use the max muti x21.

how many cores should i drop ---for the 21 multi --
 
so with a 21 multi can i get 4.5ghz .or more ---this is exciting i never knew this --thanks -

Turbo frequency
2800 MHz (1 or 2 cores) 21x 2 cores 4 threads
2667 MHz (3 or 4 cores) 20x 4 cores 8 threads
2533 MHz (5 or 6 cores) 19x 6 cores 12 threads

Or you can run odd number of cores/threads.
Like 3 cores 6 threads.

the max multi option --is this with turbo enabled --or if i lower the cores in the bios i would automatically get the multi increase -

I set manual the multi but disable the C states with turbo enabled.
If you drop to only 1/2 cores then 21x will become available 20x will be able to be picked when dropped to 3/4 cores.

emm i guess the max bclock is 212- though i will see if i can take it further .
212 * 21 =  4.452 ghz--what voltage should i apply for this
 
what about ioh voltage should i keep that at 1.4volts or lower

whats volts u applying -- do u have latest bios --which mem u using with the rig --leave every thing at default / auto for now
increase block to e.g 170 - the multi is at 18 not 19 ---its 19 in turbo mode -
 
ur volts are low i am guessing --apply for now a min 1.325volts each and see if tis stable --if yes -lower untill its not
