As far as bending the outsides in more you could take it to home depot and use their bender before you get caught.lol.

Hah!  They have one?

I was thinking about using something to bend it in more.  I also am considering getting some 27 inch monitors (2560x1440) and realized if I bent it in too far, nothing more than 25 inch monitors would work.  The more you bend, the less room you have for larger monitors up to 28 inches.  Right now, I have 3 inches on the end that I could move the monitor outwards.

I need to buy one of these but I don't have all my monitors yet, do I need to worry about the price going up or them running out?

You shouldn't have to worry. The price does fluctuate a little but generally it is in the same vicinity($5-$10). They seem to keep stock so far. They went out of stock when this thread first started due to the high flux of purchasers.

Should get the stand Thursday. I got everything else and tested 2d surround today. It works but not very well I get a little "but noticeable" video and mouse lag. :( any ideas? I'm running my i7.930@4.2ghz and sli680 the Rez is 5760X1200 is that too much for my rig? Fps bounce around the 20's in bf3 and crisis2.

i run 5760x1080 with SLI 580 3GB's. Perhaps you are hitting a VRAM cap and it is producing stutters?

I usually stay above 40 fps with my 580's

i would suggest using high settings instead of ultra, i personally cant tell the difference. it really helps with the vram consumption.

Just noticed my clocks are at 750mhz and VRAM is at 1900 something I'm puzzled. Never mind it started working properly i guess the drivers just had to warm up 0.o

I bought the clamp-on one. I think the free standing one takes up too much desk space. The first pic is from a couple weeks ago. I now have most of the wire management done (second pic).

Im pretty happy with the stand. seems very sturdy, and it dosn't fall over which is a plus.

Got my mount setup today.  THen find out i might have ruined the one monitor, hope i can figure out whats wrong with it soon as its preventig me from playing in eyefinity :( Only complaint i have is that the mount isn't curved enough which makes it hard to read text on the far left or right, but i tucked the 2 outer panels behind the middle one which helped a bit.

Anyways heres a pic of my setup

For those of you that want a curved triple monitor stand. I just picked up a "Triple Monitor Stand Free Standing Curved Arm" from Tyke Supply for only $106.35 shipped FedEx Home Delivery.

                              Since I can't post URLs:
Go to tykesupply(dot)com and look up "Triple Monitor Stand Free Standing Curved Arm"

They have clamp version  as well for $10 cheaper but for my requirements that wouldn't work.
Will post images when it get here.

Looks like the Tykesupply guys are selling the same thing EasyLCDMount is.. Just from looking at the pictures they look identical.

Amazon.com has them for only 110.69 shipped.  Im going to order one soon. Im so happy I watched a video about removing the bezel on my acer monitor and will try it out before i order the other two monitors.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXiWANFerug
and I want to run mine in portrait mode instead of so wide.

I just have to make sure that my GD235 stays together like the one in the video He did (X203w) as that is important.

Amazon has the monitors for 249 so 500 for two more monitors, 110 for the mount, and then 300 for a used Gtx580 3 gig 1584AR
to be able to run in SLI mode and run the three monitors.

I cant wait, hope my monitor comes apart nice like the one in the video above !!!!!!!!

I also wonder about the curve in the mount, will it be enough to seem like surround ????

I just took my monitor apart and I cant remove the plastic, so now I have to search for three new monitors. I guess I will have to give up the 120 hz as they are too expensive.

today only 599 delivered to my home for three.......????

well I went on about 8 different forums asking about the monitors and
no one answered me back. I only had the one day to make up my mind.
I bought them, and now just hope that they will be ok for 2D surround.

Thanks OP for the post, will look into it the next few weeks.  BTW, ctguy1955 did you get a look at Asus' VG248QE? In OC forum CallsignVega has debezeled them while also removing the AG coating and applying a glossy one.  Without a doubt the display would look even greater.

OP, thank you for this link, I have been searching for a good "affordable" triple stand for a while now. I was so close to buying the one that is linked to ErgoLcd in the Nvidia surround tutorial page, with telescoping wings, which would be nice. But for less than half the price, this stand is very nice. 100$ shipped and at my door the next day. I am elated.

Glad I found this. I'm about to order a third GTX 680 and another Asus VW246H and give surround a try and wasn't looking forward to spending $200-400 on a stand.

Got everything set up, but I've only tried it with LoL so far, and it runs poorly. The game is distorted on the left and right monitors and apparently it's been this way for years. Only problem I'm having is I can't get the monitors to line up correctly. Made a few adjustments and got the monitors almost lined up perfectly. Probably done messing with it for now. Games look great, if they support the resolution or Widescreen Fixer works for the game. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase.
