BTW whats the deal with the new bios and eleet? i see theres an option in bios now for it, and i get weird reading now with it.
It read normal before the bios update to the new a05. also why is there no voltage reading in eleet?

I don't know if this is related but it seems one of my graphics cards is now idling at 50% usage on the desktop with practically no applications running except the browser and a chat client.

EDIT: Scratch that, it is not running at 50% usage, but both of my cards are running at 53/49 degrees... GTX 580 SLI, they ran at 36/33 degrees idle prior to the flash. This is pretty discouraging. Why the hell did I do this? Everything was running perfectly.

EDIT2: Yeah, this BIOS update appears to have done something to cause my graphics cards to run significantly warmer than before the update. Great.

EDIT3: Can I just flash back to A04?

Trend Micro Internet Security was flagging the two batch files (fptwin32.exe and fptwin64.exe) as viruses. I was able to download by temporarily disabling real time scanning of zip files.  Once extracted the antivirus says they are fine.  I didn;t have that issue with the A04 download, so it must be something with the way the zip file is packaged.  It failed during the IE9 Security Scan at the end of the download.  The actual zip file came up clean once it was totally downloaded and installed without any issues.
              Just an FYI.

i just had the boot hang again on the raid setup screen for about a minute, then showed a failed raid config. mising one ssd. first time that happened. had to reboot several times and reset bios to get the drive to show again. seems sata 2 is having issues as well.

now ssds will disappear on sata 2 :(
removed overclocks and raid config hangs everytime now. my drive has disappeared total from sata 2 ports now. both function fine tested seperate, but same thing i had with the sata 3 ports hit or miss is happening on the sata 2 ports now. :(

i was worried about the ram running ok at 1.65v not i have to figure out why my drives wont run proper on the z68 platform.
does the intel me option or the option rom have anything to do with these issues in bios? the intel rapid storage technology / raid menu at boot says option rom next to it. are there setting i need to change in bios to operate properly? any voltages that would help these issues and the sata 3 issues?

I don't think there is anything wrong with the intel controllers. either you SSD's are bad or they are not intended to be run in raid.

i agree the corsair drives are crap at this point, but i am stuck with them as i can only rma them for the same thing...lol what is the point there tbh.

how can a drive not been intended to run in raid mode?

Some are designed specifically to be able to run in Raid some are not.  In theory they should but it's not always the case.  Most manufacturers will state in the specifications if the drives are raid ready, I know the OCZ drive I bought makes mention of them being raid ready.

After updating to A05, my computer shut down on its own.  I turned it back on and went into the bios to check if it had updated.  It did.  I checked on the status of my sata mode and it had changed to achi.  I have an ssd as a cache and had it set to raid.  I changed it to raid and saved and exited the bios.  Everything seems to be working fine.  I'm wondering if I hadn't changed to sata mode would there have been some problems.  Just thought I would share this in case it helps.

AHCI mode is the default setting and after updating the BIOS it will reset itself to defaults so what you experienced is to be expected after a BIOS flash.

I'm not aware of any known issues with the BIOS, been out for awhile now so its been pretty extensively tested.
                                          Thanks,

Which bugs are you referring to?

Cold booting, difference voltage reading in bios and eleet, and often never wake up when in sleep state and OS crashed after reboot (sleep mode). While using PC couple hours (not playing game) sometime it suddenly crashed  (Blue screen) The failure codes i often got: 69, b2,45 AE...
can not resolve those issues until now.( OC following Jacob's OC).

Sounds like its an unstable overclock, I would back down to stock settings while troubleshooting.
                                                  Thanks,

will there be an updated bios for the z68 ftw? i get hangs randomly on start up but will always post into windows. sometimes it will hang for 30 sec on my raid array config durning post, others i will appear to hang on the starting windows splash screen and not show it, but will go into windows. maybe a unstable oc, but it was tested from all angles. does the z68 ftw have a cpu pll issue that needs to be addressed as the micro model had the same issue?

i have the following problems (Z68 SLI)

I noticed a problem I am having with A05 I'm running 2133 ram. I notice even tho I have VCCIO set manually sometimes it will use that voltage on boot sometimes it will default back to stock VCCIO. when it does my memory controller becomes unstable and i get errors. also I noticed when this happens I can see it is still set to manual but on current voltage it shows the stock voltage. also when this happens i go into memory timings and the current timings are wrong but the manual timings are right. it should be 11-11-11-30 but when this happens it shows current timings as 11-11-11-28. When it boots properly i have no errors in memtest86 when it does not boot properly i get errors almost instantly in memtest 86. Most of the time it sets these settings wrong. for now i have to run at 1866.

                                                            Any Ideas?
