TSW stands for the secret world, the MMO that i am designing this build for and the theme as well, dragon is one of the 3 mythological societies in the game.

Both lights have been replaced with green LEDs, a switch (to control all the lighting in the case) occupies the previous USB port.

Another edit I'm working on is i am going to make it so that the side panel with the res attached is going to open from the top, so instead of swinging open with the hinge to the front the hinge will be at the bottom, allowing me to run all tubes, wires, etc to the bottom of the case so i dont have to worry about removing it all to open it up. im going to have chains attached to the inside to keep it from opening all the way without being unchained. the window is going to remain relatively unchanged besides a handle being mounted above it to open the side panel.
 
im going to be cutting, sleeving and redoing all the wiring to length on the PSU and the tubing is all black with black fittings, coolent is plain water with cilver coils in the res.

one other mod im looking at doing is to drop the PSU down further to allow for the possibility of an HPTX mobo to be fit in a normal full tower case.
 
what do you think? last time i posted the idea, it wasnt nearly as developed so i decided to repost it with all the new ideas.

quick note... i just looked it over with the model and if the next dual CPU board from EVGA is the same size as the SR-2 i will be able to squeeze it into a HAF932 by taking out part of the HDD rack and part of the bay rack, on top of dropping the PSU by an inch and modding the PSU slightly. but itd fit!

so this is a trial and error on the painting process. with all the money going at the parts i have to do painting myself. i trialed a new painting method on the spare PSU slot cover.
 

 
this is gloss black over primer, first i sanded off the first paint job and sanded through the protective clear coat to bare metal.
then i primered, waited 3 hours for the primer to dry, and then i wet sanded (ran water over the surface as i sanded) with 220 grit sandpaper.
after i sanded it and washed the primer dust off i painted it with a gloss black, a very thick layer then let it dry overnight. it came out almost mirror smooth wish a satin feel to it. only concern is i need to let it dry for a day or two still to make sure it has set up because the paint layer is so thick.
 
next up: painting the other side of it and starting the sanding process on the case pieces (i took the case rivets out so its a pile of pieces now)
 
edit: im really big on wet sanding so most of the parts you see painted will have been wet sanded, either before primer, after primer, or both.

here is the first rad mounted to the side of my case. i had a bit of trouble because i need a spacer or the rad pushes against the mesh but i have spare parts for that. 
 

 
the green messed up paint is an earlier paint job that i am getting sandblasted off in the near future.
I'm also contemplating placing the inlet of the reservoir on the top where there is a plug now, and letting it fall to the surface of the water but i don't know how loud this would be, any ideas?

so i should have fleshed out my 3D model months ago, figured out that the flow meter will not fit in the little mesh spot i had fabricated in the top panel so im ordering a new top panel tomorrow, you live and you learn.
i also ordered sleeving and heatshrink for sleeving my PSU cords, and i will document that here as well.
on the watercooling note i will be testing it over the weekend and posting testing pictures as well as results.

thank you! one question, what fluids have you seen used for WC? im going to be using distilled water with a silver coil in it. i dont see any reason to use anything else, especially since, after thinking about it, conductivity isnt a big deal unless something goes seriously wrong.

received the pump and rad, so here are all the parts for the first watercooling loop attempt, only 1 CPU since i dont have the MoBo or CPU. also here is a picture of my setup with the computer i just sold my roommate, my girlfriends computer, and the table of parts!

ok so i finally got all my watercooling parts to test version 1 of the CPU loop. here are some pictures of the setup.
in advance i will say that the long tubes going around from the res are necissary because initially this is going into a stock HAF932 (the tubes go in through the back) but on the finished build the tubes will be shorter as they will go through holes in the side of the case.
 

 
her is a picture from the side so you can see how the res and rad are arranged. since i have never done watercooling before i have to ask, is it normal for the pump to sound like it has bubbles in it even after getting all the bubbles out as far as i can tell? it makes a gurgle sound like running water over rocks every once in a while. also what is the best way to wash out the inside of a rad (the 140mm for when the loop is running both CPUs) or is that needed?
 

ok so i have 2 problems that i may need help figuring out.
assuming that EVGA sticks to HPTX for the next dual processor motherboard, im going to be taking out all but 2 of the bays and all but 1 of the HDD slots. one hard drive will go under the slot, one will take up this slot, but then i have a SSD that i am trying to figure out where to stick. any ideas? I've thought about mounting it behind the mobo tray but there's not a whole lot of clearance there. my current thought is to mount it to the right of the MoBo.
 
second issue. at the bottom left of the case i have a PSU (dropped .5 of an inch to fit the MoBo) and i also am going to be having a radiator and fans attached to the side panel. then to top it off the tubes from the reservoirs are coming down then through the bottom of the side panel right where that whole congregation is. i think maybe an angled fitting attached to the inside of the side panel angling the hose to the right to get it over to where the pumps will be.

on the upside, with some careful planning i think its entirely possible that i will have a dual CPU computer in a HAF932 case, which was the original goal.

any input? im thinking about having a custom back of the case manufactured to move the motherboard up an inch, making room for more harddrives and to have the PSU moved further down or to the right of the case (when looking from the front)

any input? still working on it. anyone know how to custom cut an acrylic back to a case, id be willing to pay for materials and work if someone could cut a full back with a few changes.

For the SSD, perhaps a cool and useful idea would be to cut a custom bracket out of acrylic, nothing too heavy duty, but perhaps even clear, and mounted with mobo standoffs (like instead of just putting screws into the standoffs under the mobo, put more standoffs in them, which would hold the mobo down, but then allows you to screw down the custom ssd tray as well.  It's form AND function :)

thats a really good idea! on the same note, to the right side of the motherboard there are screw holes that i was planning on running standoffs to the other side of the case, for support. in place of those standoffs i could have this connected to the back of the MoBo but stick out out to the right with foam on the back to act as support for the MoBo. do you know of anyone that can do acrylic cutting?

ok sweet, i mainly use sketchup, how much would 21 inches by 9 inches of acryl cost plus the cost of cutting all the slots out? you can PM me of course.
 
and the reservoirs were one of the maqin things i was excited about. the look of them gives a very unusual look especially when i have both and all the fittings to have the tubing run where i want it to.

so i ordered some more parts, fittings etc, but first, here is the fans i ordered. 2 gentle typhoons (a test to see how they perform) and a single 140mm shark fan.
one thing that struck me right off the bat was the size of the motors in the typhoons. compared to the shark which is no small fan, the motor is a good 1/2 inch diameter larger.

 
anyone have experience with these fans?
also in regards to the other parts i got, i have all the fittings to start modding the side panel for the mounting of the reservoirs and the proper tube runs.

so i swapped out the gentle typhoons and there is no real difference in temps from the bitfenix green specters.
this could be an issue with something else in the comp but it still shows between 27 degrees on the temp sensor on the bottom of the CPU water block to the highest of 47 through E-LEET while GPU is folding, CPU not folding. my CPU has never been stable enough to fold, it will bluescreen every time but any other program is fine.

so this is a single i7 950 in an EVGA FTW3 MoBo with an EVGA 470 SC (backplate, high flow bracket etc)
the 240 rad right now pulls the water from the res to the pump then pushes through a speed sensor that hooks up to the MoBo CPu header. then it goes straight to the CPU block (pict earlier in the thread) then to the rad and back to res. 
 
in the actual TSWdragon build there will be, after the CPU0 block, a 140mm rad, then CPU1 block, 240 rad, then res.
in the finished build there will also be a 360 rad in the top of the case for the SLI cards.
 
any tips on the water cooling? specifically is the 27-47 temp good for a water cooling loop like this?

AP-15's have a great static pressure to dBA ratio compared to other fans.  That's the reason they are so popular with the liquid cooling community.
 
I like the res' beoing outside, are you planning on making two more holes in the back of the case to fit your tubing or in the side panel directly.
 
Is that a CPU-360 or 370?  When did you buy it?

after i finish cutting ill put up picts. right now i am sleeving the power cords and replacing connectors.
since this is going to be for the next gen SR-3 or whatever they name it, im going to have 2 server CPUs running and im wondering if those are overclockable and if lapping them would even make a difference.

not amazing but i like it.
I've ordered a new top plastic piece for the HAF932, new grill to modify in a different way, and some more watercooling parts! as well as some fans and rivets.
i sleeved these myself, first time ever sleeving something.

here is a picture of my idea for the HDD placement. I'm only planning on having 2 but a 3rd slot is open if needed. on the right is a new idea for a back panel design for ventilation, its similar to the design seen on the collar of an example character for the dragons.
 

 
the SSD would be on a plexi bracket attached to the back of the MoBo tray, the kingston is just the model i found the quickest. 
there will be a bitfenix 230mm green fan in front of the hard drives, what do you think?
