IstBarP you know it might also be useful to denote what type of cooling each person is using. air/h2o/tec/ln2 Im just thinking that 5.0+ on air is alittle bit more impressive then say LN2.

Thank you :) I couldn't quite match your awesome chip, I simply maxed the temps when trying for 5,1. had to go to a vcore of 1,5v to get it bootable, but then temps rose quite high, and I chickened out :P btw, I forgot to tell my vcore on the 4,99Ghz clock. that was at 1,450v in the bios.

It's good to now the safety features work correctly. This overclocking and benchmarking is dangerous. I didn't think I would got as caught in it as I am. In the P67 subforum, warlord420 had this to say about overclocking: warlord420 follow these steps: I) OVERCLOCK, hit barrier/freak out from temps II) Get better cooling OVERCLOCK (hit the barrier) CRY yourself to sleep And it is so true

Well I am running mine at 5ghz no problem guess I am going to have to rebench with Linx as I don't use that and make a notepad screenshot. Check my signature and 3Dmark11 till I have some time to run Linx. Glad you made this club.

Once I get off of work I will go home and try for 5Ghz, I'm at a stable 4.8Ghz right now but my VCore is at 1.4v.... Temps are starting to hit 80 C.... The only way I'm doing this is if I get something cool to put in my signature like all the X58 guys do!

I suggest having people run the AVX version of LinX since the normal LinX doens't cut it anymore. The normal LinX doesn't fully stress the SB platform like Prime95 or LinX with AVX.
