EVGA_ShannonR
The Firmware and Software below is applicable to the following mainboards:
Firmware Version 1.0.0.1701
Shannon: I installed the firmware with no difficulty. But I noticed two things which you might comment on.
1- When I updated the Marvell firmware, the update appears as version
2.2.0.1118. I believe this is correct, not only because my computer is running well but also because, the Marvell driver website lists the version
2.2.0.1118 as the latest firmware for the MV9128, the chip used on the EVGA SR-2 boards. Could you confirm that version
2.2.0.111 is the correct update for the SR-2 board?
2- When the system posts with the new firmware installed, I now see displayed the addition of STATUS. That is, instead of [ID] [Disk-name] [Size] and [Speed] , I now see [ID] [Disk-name] [Size] [Speed] and [Status]. The STATUS of my SATA drive is listed as UNCONFIGURED. I am guessing that the term, UNCONFIGURED, refers to whether or not the SATA III drives are installed in RAID configuration. Could you clarify the meaning of the "unconfigured" status. Does this simply refer to the fact that I don't have my SATA III configured for RAID or does "unconfigured" have a different meaning?
