Wow! That is a big bummer... It is no surprise to me though. If you had the slightest clue about what is going on with them and Fermi, you'd realize that it would be "impossible" for them to lauch in Q4 2009. It doesn't take a genius, obviously to figure that out. If you thought it was going to be released this year, either you were disillusioned by wishful thinking or lacked the necessary critical thinking skills to see through the hoopla... I guess I'll have to wait. It will be darn hard, but I feel I'll be able to successfully manage it.

I do respect Nvidia that they came out and stated it won't be til next year. I'm totally fine with that, much better than continually saying Fermi will be out in December and then that comes and goes.

No... :( You just made yourself look very very bad indeed EDIT: I couldn't understand how you took my post was aimed at you. Therefore, I read, read, read and finally re-read my post, and I found the culprit of the misunderstanding. It was the "misapplication" of the word "you". You took the word "you" of my post as meaning yourself. I can assure you, you had nothing to do with my post seeming as I already had stated, I didn't even read it. You was "intended" to signify "anyone" who was going around here saying and/or thinking the GT300 was going to be released this year. I was beginning to think you were nut case However, I can easily see now how you or anyone else who posted above me could have taken the word "you" of my post as meaning "you"

I got nothing against you, ATI, or nVidia, but even I think that post made you look like a bragging know-it-all, and anybody who hoped for an earlier launch you were basically calling a moron......in a round a bout way. At least that's how I see some people taking it......bothered me none. Read my edited response above. DMIIC misunderstood me. About the other stuff; well, I severely dislike seeing people gets their hopes up when they are obviously false expectations. I seen people getting their hopes up with thinking that Fermi was going to be released this year, and I could never refrain myself from responding in an analytical manner explaining my reasoning to disagreeing with the notion that it would be released this year. It was preparing people for this very inevitable post. I'm sure you've heard of the old adage that says "Alwasy hope for the best but prepare for the worst"...

Better late than never i suppose. Just as long as they get it out before the 6core behemoths start dropping, that is all i am worried about. And plus it is good to see the tech sector doing good again, regardless of manufacturer.

I am one that likes a company to get the product right... Not launch just to satisfy a few, but bring out a solid product when it is ready. Otherwise, if I spend $1200 + on new cards and they suck...... I am not a happy person.... I leave and take my money with me. After all.... WE are the buyers, they must satisfy the majority, not the few. Besides...... The ATI DX11 cards are a great product. The longer Nvidia takes to launch all three at the same time only allows ATI time to take more of the market. When reading the interpretation of the CEO comments...... What came to my mind was some old school tactics.... Tell the world we plan to not bring one group, but multiple groups of products out all at once.... In hopes to give the competition something to worry about as the market share they claim during the 4th qtr will disappear in the 1st qtr 2010. Well that and buying time for more parts never hurt anyone either . This will be fun to watch... Just like the last two major changes had been!

Darius92388 i want to see the sources source sounds more like charlie slander to me What in the world are you talking about? Please read the article first before posting. The person who announced this was Jen-Hsun Huang, chief executive officer of Nvidia. WoW!!! I am happy that Nvidia finally announced this. I give them enormous credit for doing such. Letting your customers just hang on a limb isn't cool, and Nvidia didn't allow that to happen You all better understand that Nvidia is not delaying Fermi's release for no other reason but bad luck! They have been doing everything in their power to release the product on time. I give them credit for that also.

Nvidia is just giving us more time to get that second job and save up the cash necessary to buy one of these beasts. Ati is doing some major fist pumping right now.

Darius92388 lol what im saying is if this is TRULY what has been said then officially Shane or another employee of evga can tell us this is the truth even with the NDA but if they will say nothing about this it smells like charlie Dude... it was announced during their quarterly review with investors and financial advisors. Nobody is skewing this or lying it was all recorded during the investors call straight from Jen-Hsun Huang the CEO of Nvidia. Give it a break, you're waiting until February at least for a GT300 card.
