Hello, I still didn't get any conformation mail for my registration. In the previous tournament, I got the mail within 5 minutes, but this time, no mail after 2/3 days, not even in my Spam box. Here are my Details - eVGA website username: ayandebnath [Steam username and ID removed for safety] Gaming Name: R.A.W.Agent URL - http://steamcommunity.com/id/rawagent Please have a look.

Hi, the mail server responsible for sending the confirmation mail is having problems. It seems no one got their confirmation email. No worries though -- you are still signed up!

Still, please have a look if my data are correct in your database. I will look into it on Monday since everyone is off work Sunday. Yes, you choose one of the four servers when event starts. More will be added if there are many people.

"I would like input on this from others. From my experience huge 2Fort games aren't too fun.. lots and lots of sentry guns." -Blizzie but sentry guns galore is a spy's playground!

True, however 6 sentry guns > 1 spy. And I'm talking about 6 guns in a small area.
Professionals are predictable, it's the amateurs that are dangerous.

I made a newb mistake in the code that caused confirmation emails to not get sent properly. I will re-send the emails out today so everyone knows for sure they're signed up. A lot of people are putting in their Steam login name. This does not equal the Steam ID - read the instructions right below the sign up and you can edit your Steam ID. If you do not have a valid Steam ID you will not be part of the drawing.

Spunkie I can't express how bad this is for long term population of the server when events aren't going on, and the totally random raffle won't be nearly as effective to over 2 weeks to fill the servers in the first place. >_> As I've said before you need a long term event(Like this) but people need to actually work to be entered into the raffle otherwise as others have said your just giving away stuff and not actually rewarding people who play your server). Over a 2 week period anyone that should have any chance of winning should be able to put in 5-8 hours easily(Around 30min a day if you play everyday). Anyways thanks for the event. ^_^ Agreed, this was even suggested by me and discussed during the meeting the admins and I had b4 the event and I thought this would be case from what insideRX was saying.... I guess he decided against it last minute for some reason. If you want the servers to stay populated you can't have people play for a few minutes just to get a chance to win then leave, not to return. Yes, it's more "fair" to those who can't play 24/7, but it's also unfair to the regulars who actually try to keep the servers populated. It seems like your rewarding those who don't care, and penalizing those who do imo.

We don't have the resources required to do what Inside wanted and EVGA makes the final call on the event rules. If you allowed a player to gain a ticket for every hour they play someone could be crazy enough to stay up over 48hours just so they have a better chance at winning. I wouldn't want people to end up sick or worse die from playing TF2 too much just for a chance to win a random prize.

Question: Have we had any admins here, talk to whoever is in charge of the server setups? A 32 player slot for 2Fort is just not the way to go, a 16 or even 18 player setup with class balance is much more fun, and challenging, more strat involved. Please, could we get a confirmation about 2Fort player setup. A class balance would only allow 2 engineers, 2 snipers, 2 spys. Even if you were to leave it a 16-18 player slot server, even after the contest, you'll have people there, just because of the class balance, it fits perfect for that map.

We made all the servers 32slots so we could fit more players in, we only went with 4 servers for this two week event. I don't know how long we plan on keeping the 2Fort server up once this event is over, main reason we put up a 2fort is to give people another gametype to play during the two weeks. I still need to figure out the plugin problem with the 2Fort Server, i wanted that server to have a 10 second respawns but no plugin will allow me to set it to 10 seconds, one plugin gave 10-16 respawns another one 3-6seconds.

This sounds great. I've never participated in an EVGA event before, I look forward to gaming with you all. If the servers run well I might even become a regular. Good luck everybody! PS. 24-player, vanilla rotation server > all!
