I have a question and hopefully someone reading my posts will be able to answer it.
 
I need to drill the holes for all the single sleeved wires of the power supply.  about 96 holes :O but i think its going to have an insane appeal :) hopefully im right :)
I will be using sleeving and heatshrink from MDPC-X.com.
 
I need to know what the diamater of the sleeving + heatshrink + wiring is. If someone has a digital caliper and could measure at 2 places
1. where the heatshrink is (the thickest part of the sleeving assembly)
2. the sleeving part (body) so just the sleeve and wire together.
 
I plan on using 16gauge wire instead of the typical 18gauge for all my atx connections.
 
I would prefer measurements in millimeters but i could convert it without any problems :)

I've been working hard at the next wave of updates to the case.
 
I've got a surprise with regards to how ill be getting the wires up to the board. I originally was going to drill holes and fish each wire though, after much thought, i decided it wasnt going to work that well for me, so I have something im sure you will all like and is quite different :)

Finally I have gotten a chance after a long long while to get some new pics!!!!!!

Ok, so here is the wiring hub/plate.
 
The wiring will pass through from inside the case to the top through this hub.
All the connectors will simple sit flush with it and i just plug any wire i need to the graphics cards.
I basically measured the connectors, and made up a drawing in CAD, than had them waterjetted!
the results are awesome :)

OK, so a while back i posted a drawing of a new brace system for the middle part so that its more rigid and stable
I used 1"x1"x1/16" aluminum square tubing, and welded them to the middle section.
I than used whats called INSERT-A-NUT (insert nuts) into them so i can screw down the top peice.
Basically threaded inserts, but they are not put in with a rivet tool, instead they use a nut, socket head bolt and alen wrench.
 
The welds were done with this stuff called ALLADIN aluminum brazing rods, basically you heat up the metal until its hot enough (700deg) and than scrape the brazing rod on and it forms a weld, pretty sweet stuff. Had to use a MAP GAS torche so that it would get hot enough.

OK finally my G15 keyboard wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl.
 
You will notice that i didnt have the G15 name on the right side cut out yet, i had to get a new blade for my xacto knife to cut it out.

Just started playing with this carbon fiber material myself..your results are very impressive..now I know I want to do more on my case!! This build is extremely creative.. you have alot of patience.

they are based in the detroit, michigan area, they have sooo much stuff.
Luckily i live close, and payed them a visit, wow do they have a lot of stuff.
 
the vinyl im using is 3m Di-Noc.
 
there is a new Di-noc out made for exterior uses now, its more shiny, looks super sharp as well.

The carbon fiber stuff is amazing, easy to form around complex curves, bumps, shapes. The stuff looks amazing when you shine the light on it!
I still have 2' x 4' of the vinyl left over which i will be using on the center part of the case :)
 
Im also working on a sign with the name on it, maybe in 3D lettering.
 
Also, im doing something really sick with the reservoirs and carbon fiber, Hopefully i can pick it up today and show you guys what it looks like :)

I got a budy of mine to cut some lettering out of the vinyl, the stuff is really thick, so i had to go back and fully cut it with an xacto knife.
end result is what you see :)
ill be using 2 - RED ultra bright leds for each reservoir (1 bottom, 1 top) to light it up showing the name FERMI.
The font i used is called RADIKAL (yes with K)

I've done a lot of sleeving myselft but I never seem to get as good results as you.. What is the trick to make them perfectly lineup? Mine varies 0mm - 2mm which makes it look unprofessional.. Yours looks perfect! I would very much like to know your procedures from the very beginning to the the very end.. is that possible?
