BF3 FAIL (Mother of God...WHY!?) Thursday, August 16, 2012 12:56 AM (permalink)
So I got my new X79 rig running tonight, and haven't played BF3 in months, and I just knew not to get too excited. Well I installed Origin, and all my EA games show up luckily.. BUT... It says BF3 is pre-ordered... WTH..!?

So Skyrim it is!

Try going into the Windows control panel and reseting the date/time

Thanks man, but still shows pre-ordered.. My date was already sync'd and correct.

I hate dealing with their Indian chat reps, so I'll call tomorrow and deal with their Indian phone reps. ROFL.

Is the wrong game hidden by chance? Are you using the latest Origin beta?  Are you logging into the right account? Where did you purchase the game? If not through Origin you may need to enter the key on a new windows install. Have you tried opening your browser to Battlelog and tried starting the game there to see what happens? log in there of course

DON'T. There even worse. Can't understand half of what they say. Better with chat support.

Did you happen to exceed the speed of light recently? I hear that can cause time travel if the temporal compensator isn't properly calibrated.

Maybe his flux capacitor was malfunctioning, that could hose up the time listings on things.  Don't trust those delivery guys with DeLorean's :)

In all seriousness.....     Stupid question, date in BIOS/Windows is not wrong, correct?  Sometimes idiotic things like that can cause these problems.  I had a monitoring tool not work because of that once.

preaty sure thats just the Battlefield 3 BETA.
First time I played Skyrim I followed a rabbit into a woddy area on a snowy mountain and punched the poor thing to death and got lost.

No, I'm pretty sure I can read... I have both the beta and the full game on my account, and both say "pre-ordered".

It's possible that your account was hacked, and your game was transferred to another persons account.

I found the following post, and a link to it. Hope this helps:

"Someone verified as myself in support - with my name and my email-adress, not too hard to get - and he then transfered my game to another account (unknown to me). Not ALL my games were transfered - only BF3 Limited Edition. Two other games remained at my origin-account. As BF3 was transfered to another account, my origin-client said to me, BF3 would be "unreleased" - that was the reason why i contacted support. The third (!) supporter told me then that my game has been transfered.

I said to this supporter, that I didnt wanted to transfer the game and asked if its possible to retransfer the game to my account. He then asked for my birthday to varify myself again (this time more than just my name and email). After i got my game retransfered (i was so happy at this moment! ^^ ) i asked him, how i could avoid such things in future. He said i could implement a security question - i could pick one of ~7-8 question and give him the answer. So in future my account can be verified in support only with the answer to this question - instead of giving my date of birth to varify myself.

So i suggest everyone to do the same: implement security questions! I dont know how its possible without live chat, but try it! Your game can be stolen only with your email adress, your name and maybe date of birth. No more data are required. This is much too little security for things i paid 110 Euros.

                          NOTE:
EA contacted me again and confirmed that my accout got hacked and my game transfered via live chat support.
The account which has stolen my game got located and banned by EA."

WHAT ???  When does 'any' company, and I mean ANY company,  transfer games from 1 account to another..????

Wouldn't that basically be the same as selling your digital games to another person/ account ?- and is NOT allowed anywhere ??

All of this seems pretty fishy story - not from EliteGeek -  but these stories of Origin saying games were transferred to someone else.... sounds more like a cloud server screwup disguised as theft.  I will have to look further into the documents on Origin claiming the ability to transfer games to another account.

The ONE time I got to talk to someone from the U.S. from EA, I actually got my problem fixed FAST also, and the guy was very friendly and I could actually (gasp!) understand him.  Congrats on having all that crap sorted out.

Yes, someone "Who always said it was aliens", contacted EA, gave them my email, and name (Since he got it from PayPal), and they recovered the account. Then he logged in, and removed the game, then activated it on his Origin account.

And yes I KNOW it was him, because they told me the email address of his Origin account...
