I am on my way out to Best Buy to get a corsair H100 and I am looking for a quick answer as to wether or not a PCIe NIC card will perform better than the onboard X58's ? thanks in advance

If the onboard is gigabit and the pcie u are getting is the same I doubt it, unless there is something wrong with the board nic or firmware.
