Great idea! also we need to try and get into the same server (world), so we can play together, it could be great if we could create a Guild, or at least with our other guilds get together in the game.

I would say Sorrow's furnace, in the last beta was a good choice, at least we should gather in here just before the launch, to find a server, etc so everybody could join at the same server. 
 
Im going to speak this with my other friends from southamerica, so they can join the same server, etc...
just one month aprox until release. 
 
And for the Guild name, we can suggest some names! right now i don't have any ideas!

Sure. I haven't really played it much at all yet, just created a character and ran around in the world for about five minutes.

Well, as of the last stress test, I was really wowed by the features of the game and can attest that it's a lot more fun than WoW's grindfest. I loved doing quests with others even though I wasn't in a party.  The amount of things you can do is very interesting.

hey can someone please tell me if the final retail version will contain a disk with the full game files on it so I won't need to download the full game? I understand there will probably be an update after installing from the disk but that should be relatively small which is fine for me.
 
The reason I asked is becuase I know there was a pre-order retail version with just the key inside and you got access to the beta.

Me and my step brother will be on saturday for headstart.  Someone pick a server and shoot me a PM or post it here.  I got a few other people coming too.   so we will have atleast 4 people + me.  All WoW vets and a few from guild wars 1.   So be sure to shoot me a PM.

I'm choosing Sorrow's Furnace and will be on when the headstart releases.

Yeap i vote for Sorrows Furnace too! maybe we shoul gather all this info in one thread! so if anybody else wants to join, it could be easier for them

I owned GW1 but never really knew what I was doing, and only played solo for the short time I did play. I have pre-ordered GW2 though, so I'll watch this thread... if you can handle a total noob running with you occasionally. I never played WoW or anything like that, so I really am a noob, although I did play a text-based MUD heavily for years (and ran an associated website etc), so have some familiarity with the ideas behind this type of game.  
 
 

I'm new too.  I don't own the first Guild Wars.
 

Edit:  Also, there have been a few recent stress tests including one today a 9:10 PM PST to 10:10 PST which I played about 30 minutes of.

I went to play with the character creation some more... it is quite bad.

Not enough customization models. The gameplay better make up for it.

They'll likely have more added on launch.
