Some comments on the r38 overclock tab

I notice there isn't much discussion on this forum beyond the usual problems/troubleshooting.. and it kinda bothering me. I have some issues with the current overclock menu in the 38 BIOS and would like to put them out there and hear some thoughts on them. I'll just start from the top and work my way down. (my settings @ 4.2 everyday, intelburn stable) Enable Eleet Ratio Control: This also sets Vcore to manual and memory voltage, but oddly leaves VSA alone. I would prefer this just do as stated.. enable Eleet Ratio Control. (enable) Vdroop: The description isn't quite right imo, it describes LLC more then anything. Vdroop at 100% would allow a quite substantial voltage drop underload, but the description makes this sound the opposite. Vdroop disabled would allow the least voltage drop under load.. actually would allow voltage increases. (50%) PLL Override: really should say 4.8+(disable) Overclock Mode: I don't like how this disables my network nic, nor do I like how switching it off after being on doesn't reenable the devices. Also "overclock" is spelt wrong in the description(disable) Vcore: This one really bugs me.. Doesn't follow the VID in auto. Auto actually just uses the last fixed voltage. I mean really??? whats goin on with this(1.25) CPU offset voltage: This was deleted in BIOS 35, not explanation.. possibly related to broken vcore auto setting. Dimm voltage: enabling Eleet sets this at 1.65 manually and overrides XMP depending on the order you enter voltages. seems iffy though prolly not broken. VSA: This one has to be hard on novices. For some reason auto is still controlled by the SVID while CPU is never controlled by SVID with this BIOS. This leads to very low VSA voltages if left on auto. Enabling Eleet sets VCORE to manual but leaves VSA alone.. VSA's deviating from VCORE by too large a margin cause instability even at Intel spec clocks.(1.2) PLL voltage: Eleet misreports the voltage in windows, makes me wonder if its enforcing its own setting once started or just misreporting it. (1.875) PWM: I've never seen this before : / maybe give a spec sheet with some maximums so I can get an idea what a radical change is vs a modest one while playing with it. I admit no knowledge beyond a step or two above a novice, so I am interested if someone wants to put me in my place.. cause I might learn something. These were just some thoughts after becoming familiar with this board and some of the BIOS revisions.

All I can say is... since BIOS 025 (the original) Nov 2011, C-states, USB 3.0, and XMP2 profiles have never worked reliably or at all. I can handle typos and somewhat unintuitive functionality... stuff flat out not working that should be a basic requirement of a motherboard? Wholly unacceptable.
