X79 FTW post code B2 Friday, July 13, 2012 4:58 AM (permalink)
OK..Got my new X79 FTW and of course it would not boot>Absolutely nothing.  RMA'd the board and recieved new from EVGA.  After assembly on the initial start up I received hard drive not found then the computer went into Windows Recovery Mode.  After the scan it could not find anything wrong.  Computer rebooted and I got the X79 splash screen with the B2 code in the lower left.  B2="USB hot plug"  In all the builds I've done in the past I've never seen this.

While B2 is actually Legacy Option ROM Initialization, I'm not exactly sure what that means as to why it will not boot for you.

Can you get into the BIOS? (either hitting F2 or Delete to get into BIOS)
If so, what BIO version are you on? 34 or above?
