Problem with the board? Monday, July 09, 2012 1:25 PM (permalink)
Hello guys!

first of all my english ist not good so please dont mind it. i have some huge problems with my pc and i cant say exactly what it is.
If i start my pc i get some pixelerrors that go from bios through windows start. sometimes the pixelerrors only show up after a complete windows start. now i cant say if its maybe the mb with some errors at the pcie slots ( i tested my graphics card with all slots - all time the same error ) or my card...

i appreciate your help

p.s i will upload soon some pics or maybe a short video with the bootup

I'd recommend trying a different cable, then a different monitor and then a different video card. That would eliminate anything to do with the MB.

well i tried another cable (hdmi) another monitor with a different cable errors occur here. with another card... im not sure with the card because its an very very old one and with that it works but i was thinking that the card would be to weak for the board to produce errors ( i hope you know what i mean)

Its doubtful it would be the slots if they all do the same thing. Start by reloading the driver with something like driver sweeper. After that its usually the card or PSU.

First thing I would do is make sure psu is putting out 12 volts under load.If psu checks out try different video card makes no different s on card as long as its pci-e.If with different card its still messed up I would say its your MB if it don't mess up its the 580
Dang Matthew you type faster then I do hehe

Well i wonder why the pixelerrors show up in the bootscreen i mean the drivers are only loaded when windows is startet not? btw. i have 2 other questions. the first is: is it normal that when i turn off the PSU that sometimes the blue led goes on and instantly off. and the other is it okay that the card is loose in the pcie slot?

Card should fit snug . If your card is lose that is not really all that good . When I have had a lose card I got no video at all.I have read where it can boot with a messed up screen though.
What it comes down to is fallow the steps 1 check psu 2 try diff. card 3 run mem test if all pass its your card .And I do not mean use bios to check psu use a maltimeter I like to use a digital one.
One other thing not sure if it would have anything to do with your problem.Do you have a05 bios installed .

Ok you got ATI video drivers your gtx 580 will not work on them. All other links but first one can be found in first link.

you can also see that on the resolution in the video its 800x600 but i have an 24 inch display with 1920x1080

I just looked up Turegopt program not found .That means you got malware on your comp. not a good sign.
I seen ati gpu +  ati gpu usage programs I do not think ether will work with nvidia cards I would run
http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ and make sure there is no AMD video drivers amd= ati unless you have AMD vidio cards .
Just to add the screen looks kind of like mine did when my gtx260 went bad.
Heres a link to your vid on youtube so others mite help

that turegopt program not found is okay my pc is clean so far.
the icon in the last seconds will display what video card is in your pc
if you have an nvidia it will display an nvidia icon and if you have an ati it will display an ati icon. but in the video it didt display an graphic card name what it usually do but not in the video because of that it display just the ati icon.

normaly it will show up like this
