This website is giving out 20,000 keys on july 10th midnight. For those that are thinking about getting the game but cant commit, There is a beta weekend on July 20th - July 22th. One can prepurchase the game and get instant access or have a key.

Thank you for the post!  I have never played GW and don't know much about it other than I have some MMO friends who played it.  I didn't want to spend the money for something I wasn't sure about.  I will be signing up.

And if ya didn't know already, there is no monthly subscription fee either.  An MMO on a massive scale that you can play endlessly without the weight or time-limit of having to pay again bearing down on you.
 
That was one thing that always bugged me in the past, if I didn't play so many hours every day or if I didn't have the time to log in for a week, it felt like a waste of money.  Even though it only costs $0.50 cents a day to play P2P MMOs, it adds up.  Then at some point you push yourself to stay awake for 24+hrs to make up for days you couldn't play...lol {guilty for having done that a lot when I was younger}
 
Anyway, check it out, it really is fun and the sweeping changes ANet have made to the standards in MMO design are awesome!

Yes i would download the client before hand though, Right now it's at 15.6GB and there will probably be more patches closer to the beta weekend. After u just login and you can play :D

DL the client by logging into your GW2 Account.  Its 13.7GB after fully updating, could take awhile depending on your connection. There have been quite a few updates, but I dunno if they've been incorporated into the latest client or not.

That is really weird!  I don't have an active Premium account with Curse (Used to years ago when I was playing WoW).  I literally F5'd last night at Midnight and boom...got a key.  I just had problems actually registering my account, not getting the key.
Must have been a glitch?
I finally got signed up after getting the key (took like 15 tries).  I just need to DL the game client now.

Kinda expected, but ANet just announced that the Sylvari and Asura will be playable in the final BWE3...woohoo!  Not that I'll be in a rush to get my character created come early start seeing as I already have my 5 primary character names saved from playing GW, but it'll be nice to finally look through all the options and possible decided on final appearances.
 
Will have to have all my characters made before the official launch date to secure my names anyway, so this will help with expediting such then getting in and playing!

Probably getting slammed with all the sign ups.  It was tough to register when they originally started accepting pre-purchase keys.  Keep trying or wait a few days for it to settle down.
 
 
Also, I have 3 extra keys to give out soon.  Keep watch on the Community Giveaways Forum early next week, if you miss a key during this promotion!

I cant play WoW atm so no MMORPG action for me :<  so a gw2 beta is splended. it just needs to be aug 28th already dangit!

I signed up. Took me forever to fill out the display name thing. Because my Guild Wars 2 account gave me some long number for my display name. It wouldnt let me enter that. It only dawned on me near 10 minutes later than my display name was my username. And the long number in my account was because i hadnt chosen one yet....I feel stupid. 

Got my key, client is installed, now the wait. Thanks OP!
