I currently have two monitors connected to my PC.  I want to add a third.  I am not a gamer, I just want to be more productive in my daily office work.  I see that some video cards have three outputs but someone told me that some of these cards have a two monitor output max.  How can I determine which cards have the capability of using all three outputs?

All the 500 series cards and lower only support 2 monitors.  The 600's support more.   You could buy another cheaper card for the 3rd monitor if you have an extra pcie slot, otherwise you'd have to look at the 600 series cards.
