Afterburner ^^^ That's the spirit Viper! And Simba, we appreciate all you are doing so please do not let my enthusiastic spirit dampen you at all. Heck your one of the reasons I am even getting my feet wet with these other wonderful needs... In other news... Looks like I did do a personal best today. Just in GPUGRID alone I was able to get about 775,000... *Happy dance* so that completes a single day with just GPUGRID running on the two 680's... Starting a little bit ago I will run PrimeGrid for the next 24 hours... And compare production... I only know Genefer recently.... If my 460 ran Genefer completely for a day, I'd get roughly 45k as each task is worth slightly different points. The same 460 at the same oc got, I think it was about 60k from one of the long run tasks after about 16 hours of work. So Genefer gives me about 1875 per hour while GPUGrid gives me 3750 an hour. 4 Hours of PrimeGrid Genefer work is about the same as 2 hours of GPUGrid work.... But I do prefer only having my gpu committed to something for 4 hours straight as opposed to 16 hours straight, especially since the 460 is in the computer I use for all of my programming classes and VisualStudio and jME3 don't like the gpu being used for anything else. I'm not sure exactly on the Genefer World Record units, I've only completed one, I think.... I know they run alot longer, not sure if they are equivalent to the shorter Genefer tasks as in points per hour, but I know they are worth more per task.

Simba123 No worries dude. I love seeing people ramp it up and go on a good chase! I'll have a high five ready for you as you blaze past. Did you ever get that script working properly? *High 5* My goal with my ramping is more about excitement for the team and the new 4.2 cuda that is allowing us to ramp up serious crunching power. We are doing twice the work now with the same effort the old 3.1 allowed and to me that is a huge situation for us to get excited about. This means we are able to find cures/etc in half the time of just a few months ago!!! And I have not tried the script again. I plan to this weekend when I can look at it several times during the day.

Viper97 T-Minus 30 days... and I'll have 3 670's... might give old AB a run for his peso's. BTW... I did a little searching last night. I like your idea of a pair of 670's. I am thinking (If money works out this way) of getting a pair of 670FTW's. They seems to have the best overall price/performance going... And cool them like this fellow member did... http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?high=&m=1658276&mpage=1#

Very nice production overall.

linuxrouter I see that your systems produced 850K so far today. Very nice production overall. Thank you kindly... I am not sure what one I should believe. This one say 906,485 and this one says 849,736. Just weird counting times I think. I know for a fact I did over 850,000 in PrimeGrid alone today... I know not all of the projects produce numbers... And I am also doing Einstein and eOn. They produce low numbers... But I am also still doing SETI and it says I did 40k today. So who knows. It all is for Science! http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=userbycpid&cpid=b7c86a31ffffc2617d0be2f55933eb77 All I need now is some buyers or traders so I can get more GPU POWA!!!

I say it more of an update timing thing. Most projects update as tasks are validated, WCG being one of the exceptions. The projects don't push out the updates to stat sites, stat sites pull them from the projects, so the stat sites update on their own schedules. With some projects, if two stat sites update even as little as 5 minutes apart, I could see how what they display will be different. And even throw in the fact that stat sites might not pull updates from projects in the same order, some could potentially pull and parse one project at a time while another pulls all and then parses, it isn't entirely impossible for one stat site to miss an validated unit by a few seconds.... But I could be wrong, I don't run a stats site so I don't know how they run them, I'm only guessing.... I have something similar I use at work that connects to a site and pulls data for all of my Marines and updates data in a file if needed. The site does an update around midnight EST, which is about 1300 here, so if I start it between 1230 and 1300, I have the potential of catching it in the middle of an update and some Marines might not be updated as current as the later ones on the list.... If I ever get around to applying how it is done with VBA and excel to something else and a database and then redisplaying the database on a page, I could have my own stat site....

Rough day today for me... Had a HDD call it quits and lost a LOT of WCG... That system will be down until at least Friday of next week. So I will spread the wealth to the others. However, tomorrow calls for the hottest day of the year so far for us. And this is in an area of no air-conditioners as a "Sought after" item for homes... I may be forced to pull the plug on 800k worth of effort tomorrow as a result. Sorry fellas... I will try though... Might even grab my portable air-conditioner if I feel frisky enough...

Gives me a bit to build by buffer back up.... I'll be losing two cores in a few days, been using the wife's laptop while she's gone. Might have to set it up to run during the night, but she closes it alot so I'll have to set it up to keep running with the lid closed.... I forgot what cold is. If it's not just plain hot out here, it's hot and humid. If it was any more humid, it might as well be raining on some days.... But I guess I've gotten lucky, my unit is on a side of the tower that doesn't get much sun throughout the day, and my computers are in the area that get the least amount of sun so it stays between 76 and 79 in here and about 85 under the desk by this system. It's as perfect as it could be for me, considering housing won't let the ac go below 76, but it isn't exactly ideal for my little balcony pepper farm experiment.... Temperatures are great for it, but some more sun would be nice.... Edit: and the new GPUGrid tasks are faster on my 460.... Normally taks about 16 hours or so for the long runs with it oc'd to 900/1990, even droppingit back to 875, I'm looking at maybe 8 hours....

Well well... looks like I'm 0 in the Step-up queue. Just waiting on confirmation of my invoicing and the email to send 'em money and a few other steps. Three 670's should give a certain AB a run for his money (might not catch up but heck if I won't get a bang outta watching him trying to find me in the rear view mirror!)

I'm actually looking forward to it. Might pick up two more 670's in a while (depending on finances) and pop them into another machine and then take the two older 560 ti's and pop them into a third machine. Then there's that fourth machine with just a 275...

OK.... Off and on day today. Similar day to morrow. Lots going on... However my new 670 did arrive and man oh man what a sweet GPU. Running PrimeGrid on it over the weekend. But so far at full tilt I am sitting @ 56% fan setting with 55c as the high watermark for temps. Pretty quiet and happy so far with my choice. This also allows more headroom on my CPU (Now I can OC it to 4.0 without temps hitting 65c) on the same system I installed this GPU in...

Congratulations on the new GPU AB! Glad to hear the card is performing great. I picked up another card as well, an EVGA Signature 2. This card I think is a work of art and almost everything I have been looking for a crunching card including a large heatsink, dual fans, low noise, and great overclocking. I am seeing temps ranging from 60-70C with 65% fan speed depending on project and ambient temp. GPUGrid with CUDA 4.2 is driving up the temperatures more than other GPU enabled projects. I think this may be my last GPU purchase for a while at least until Tesla K20 comes around. Electric is just too expensive.

I will fold again when F@H takes full advantage of my GPU's again. this 35-45% usage crap is pathetic. I want all out for my efforts and DC computing in GPUGrid and PrimeGrid is doing the 99% usage now with CUDA 4.2. I brought my main Business system home a few days ago (Well and a few others for a good cleaning) as we are painting, running wires, etc to our new building. So right now the portable AC and my two 800D systems are running full bore in my gaming room at my house till tomorrow. Then my office system will go to it's new home at our office in the morning... All the electricity at the business is a write-off. At home I am willing to take a hit once in a while for the greater good.

linuxrouter Congratulations on the new GPU AB! Awesome!!! Man I love the looks of that GPU. I went the 670 route simply because I believe it to be the best dollar for dollar better performing GPU for the money on the planet. And only being about 5% less in performance than the 680.... No brainer. This is also why I went with the Gigabyte this time. I like the three fans with awesome temps... This setup was running 62c with the XFX5870 in the loop (Watercooled). However now only the CPU is watercooled an it has been @ 49c for the last 80+ minutes and the GPU has stabilized @ 54c. Much better environment for both. Keep in mind the rear fan and lower case fan are not installed as I have new fans inbound on Saturday for it. So these temps are with both side panels off and they can have all the air they need. Once I close the case up for "Professional" sounding office... We will see then the true performance/cooling numbers...
