GTX 580 is over heating at 50C when playing any sort of game

I was playing Portal 2, and my screen started to suddenly have white and colored lines coming across, then the computer restarted. IT also sometimes freezes when this happens instead of restarting. It only happens when I get to 46C-50C, which here where I live, its really hot which means I cant play any games. Anything that could help me?

Anything that could help me? I see it's your first post. Welcome to the forum. The max operating temperature of the GPU is 97C. You're well under that so temperature shouldn't be an issue unless the card is defective. Could you give us a bit more information on your system hardware? Also, what driver are you using? Are you over clocking your system?

Sorry for the long reply. Computer restarted and I couldnt get in for a while. Anyways, no, Im not overclocking. And I know the card limits can reach about 100C, but my card just craps out at 50, and restarts my pc. Motherboard: P8P67 Pro Processor: Intel i7 2600k Power Supply: Corsair GS800 Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 580 (obviously) I don't know how much more you need.
