i would dumb the 4th card and live with 3 if nothing will fix these issues  including switching to IB, the nvidia x79 fix caused my games to crash and im not sure if i should depend on it unless its officialy supported by nvidia drivers.
i dont have time to keep doing all these tests , after all i just want to start enjoying my games rather then suffering while fixing things im not supposed to even think about it

will do 3 way sli tests as im mainly intrested in mmorpgs atm, will even buy the z77 asus extreme once its out and recheck with 4 cards( already own 3770k  my second rig)

lol i know what you mean. But trust me im going to get my rig up to par. i just got my 3930k/ RIVE mobo yesterday. But its possible, Vega has shown us in his video, dont give up.

BTW my pc was crashing a lot also with pci-e 3.0 until i flashed bios to version 1404 on the RIVE, now no more crashes.

Looks like a driver problem. I got it to scale well when I changed "Span displays with Surround" to "Maximize 3D performance". At 2560x1440 Heaven went from 58.1 fps in 2-way SLI to 105.8 fps in 4-way SLI. **** yeah.

It scales like **** in Surround since the two options are mutually exclusive.

4 way 670 is a  pure fail for me on x79 , all working perfect with 3 way , but once a 4th card in , none of the games worked fine ( only BF3 was kind smooth ) but still loads on cards was very bad ,

the nvidia hack was another fail story for me ....
i ordered the new z77 asus ext , will use it and check again but i dont have alot of hope ( driver wise )

i dumbed the 4th card for now (as i did last year on the 4th 580gtx ), all smooth now
and forget the 2gb 6xx on 7680x1600 , the vram is hitting 2.5gb on 4x at even weak games like warcraft, so glad that i got the 4gb

              waiting for  kepler 110

Are you getting proper GPU usage in 3-way SLI? Maybe it's a driver issue.

                  the load /scale on 3 cards was 100% healthy @4.6 3930
                  on 7680x1600 and 2560x1600

the load/scale on 4 way was bad on 7680x1600   but still not good on 2560x1600.
                  these on pcix2.0

the hack of pcix3 makes my pc locks and BOSD so couldnt test
i think on 4 way sli with that much high res its a combination of pcix3 bandwidth and driver issue. for example the effect of adding  the 4th card on heaven benchmark made fps drop ( driver issue ) and cards werent loaded at there full power ( pcix3 issue).

im realy not sure whats happening here , still waiting for asus mobo to arrive so i will do some more tests on a solid 4 way pcix3 motherboard and see if its just the badnwidth or driver or both
